Seeing double - New Dahua dual Starlight IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M/M12

What happens to the picture quality when IR is activated on both integrated cameras at the same time? I see a ring of IR's on each lens

I think most users will want the standard rj45 not the M12....Side note - I think most folks are better off with two fixed turrets than one of these...price is almost the same..

One word response to this..... WAF

Would Blue Iris or any NVR see this model as two entirely separate cameras, or would it put the two cameras in a split-screen configuration on one channel?

Seems like only one cable is present for connecting to ethernet

I'm curious about this too!

There no technical reason why it couldn't behave like 2 cameras. It's not as if 1 of the cameras will saturate the network cable. If they are somehow combined, that would be..... weird.

I think everyone is... I emailed another hong kong distributor and says that this will display both camera feeds in 1 window, but both could be 1080p. I didn't really believe it, but we will see. They sent me a screen shot, but seems to be the same one in the manual with the rubix cube and apple.

I dont think this is released yet, hopefully in the next few weeks.

got one for this camera, but booked by a US guy, i am waiting for the later stock in, i think can be ready soon too, i will post here when it comes this weekend.

Yep...hopefully pronto. Eager to also learn if the two camera images are integrated into a single stream 'view' as well...or if each camera is treated totally independently.

This was interesting while looking through the manual....

Main Stream:

CH1: 1080P (1~25/30fps)

CH2: 1080P (1~25/30fps)

Sub Stream:

CH1: D1(1~25/30fps)

CH2: D1(1~25/30fps)

Today just get the camera and not enough time to test the camera carefully, it has only one RJ45 ports, and have 2 channels show. Pic is very sharp, same as other starlight one, lol. @looney2ns will help for the testing.

********I also have another cheap one, any one is intretested, please contact me via email.I will invite who do great support here to do the review. IPC-HDW2231R-ZS 2MP STARLIGHT LITE model and IPC-HDW1230S fixed lens.
