It's honestly hard to tell, but I would definitely contact them. The up and down scrapes don't make a whole lot of sense.
It does look like below the bumper cover on the driver's ed car appears to have some damage, but it's hard to see for sure. Do you have footage of the car on the approach?
If they did do it, it's very shitty of the instructor to let it happen and then leave.

The car was back and this time I was able to stop them and get a photo of there damage. Also the instructor admitted they hit my Pathfinder
Well, that's lucky.
Good on him for admitting the damage, but shitty on him for letting the student drive off.
That's the damage I thought I saw in the video.
There office is saying they did not hit me, I told them I am going to report this as a hit and run. They say they have video of them not hitting me and are still insisting they did not hit me. They were going to send me the video but have not received it yet. If I do not receive it by 5pm I am reporting it as a hit and run
Hopefully you got more photos of the car while it was there?
Does that mark on the bumper show on any video before they would have hit you?
Luckily I just installed this camera (IPC-Color4K-T) that purchased during EmpireTech 2024 Spring Sales otherwise I would have not caught this.
It is hard to tell if there was no damage on their car before them hitting me because of the body line

They called me back and are going to pay for the repair.

Instructor should be fired, for being incompetent.
I wouldn't want my child riding with him if he can't watch better than that.

Not just for being incompetent but because it was a hit and run property damage which should have been reported to @MikeLud1 immediately. Teaching the student driver that it is okay to violate the law…
It would have been a hit and run otherwise, although at a minimum a police report should be filed.
Sure why not you twisted may arm, I just bought another IPC-Color4K-T and some microphone windscreens to add to the cameras mics.
