Student Driver Hits My Pathfinder

It's honestly hard to tell, but I would definitely contact them. The up and down scrapes don't make a whole lot of sense.

It does look like below the bumper cover on the driver's ed car appears to have some damage, but it's hard to see for sure. Do you have footage of the car on the approach?

If they did do it, it's very shitty of the instructor to let it happen and then leave.

The car was back and this time I was able to stop them and get a photo of there damage. Also the instructor admitted they hit my Pathfinder

Well, that's lucky.

Good on him for admitting the damage, but shitty on him for letting the student drive off.

That's the damage I thought I saw in the video.

WOW.

They gonna take care of it or did you need to threaten a call to the cops?
There office is saying they did not hit me, I told them I am going to report this as a hit and run. They say they have video of them not hitting me and are still insisting they did not hit me. They were going to send me the video but have not received it yet. If I do not receive it by 5pm I am reporting it as a hit and run

Hopefully you got more photos of the car while it was there?

Does that mark on the bumper show on any video before they would have hit you?

Poll question - should he still report it to the police?
It would have been a hit and run otherwise, although at a minimum a police report should be filed.

Report the contact and follow up by the company to your insurance company and ask their next steps. In some areas, If they can run out the clock, they get off the hook, regardless of offering to pay you.
