well I will be reading a lot but also will post up a question as I have an urgent upgrade that I am looking at doing...

have had a 4 camera 8 port dvr from Samsung (Sams Club purchase) for a few years

Use Hikvision or dahua or IPCT cameras.
Use hardwired cameras no wifi.

hows this LTS setup?

guy I know owns his own business and pointed me to LTS cameras/dvr and you didn't list them so I have to look at the ones your recommending (vendor)...
appreciate it!

not really.. I can, have extra stuff but still reading.
seeing that a xeon is not great for blue iris to which I have a spare one but I do have an i7-4770s and I think an i5-7500...

but I'm just thinkin a package unit that is reliable and low power...
Blue iris is reliable and low power. But buy the package system first so that you appreciate blue iris after you toss it out the window.
