I just got interested in IP Cameras recently when someone tried to break into our home. Scared us, and now I'm trying to learn how to make all sorts of cameras. Thanks for all the help in advance! -john

First on the agenda should be a good monitored alarm system be installed. That's the first line of defense.

    Welcome to the forum.

Please read the cliff notes and other items in the wiki. The wiki is in the blue bar at the top of the page.

Read, study, plan before spending money ..... plan plan plan

    As looney2ns said..
First a good monitored alarm system with loud sirens, door and windows sensors.
Second a good IP camera setup to see what happened and WHO did it. Camera placement is critical.
