The official "WTF" thread

Yeah, ours was down in NW AL. Had Wi-Fi calling enabled and was able to make/receive some calls, most likely landline businesses. It was nice to "unplug" for a little while, IMO.

I had a flashback to the early 70's thru late 80's when I had to go look for a payphone if on the road and my work pager would beep. :lmao:

Man, I need to get out more often. I saw this but the prices look about right to me. Of course I haven't been to a fast food joint since the plandemic started in around February 2020. That was a Taco Hell drive through order and they forgot to give me my taco. I called the manager to complain after I was half way home. He said "no problem, next time you are here just tell them them the manager advised you to ask for your missing taco and if they have a problem with that to have them call the manager". I wonder if I should go get my taco now.

I remember when a burger was $.18 at Mickey D's...of course gas was only $.30/gal, so it's all relative. Min wage was $1.25/hour too.

I grew up with $2 min. wage, mid 70s, I had a dish washing job at the Mall's food court Chinese restaurant after school job where I made $30 a week. I saved $800 for my first car, my parents gave me $400 towards it for my first car since they said they were proud of me saving that much money. I did mowed yards too and did odd jobs for neighbors...
I can't say I have seen any kids mowing lawns anymore. Maybe a handful. I blame the parents for today's generation. We had chores and got .25 cents a week for allowance. I think it got as high as a dollar.

Just stumbled across this on....Walmart! Hey kids, ask your parents to get these decals! o_O

Really stupid to show a KID in that pic--- but It would be hilarious to stick these in someone's house without them knowing... LOL
