Nope, unfortunately.
He was born in Canada. His father being born in the U.S. is not a factor.

My first wife of 31 years was born in Honduras, Central America.
She came to California in 1966 at 15, had a green card, worked and paid taxes.
We married in '72, she remained a legal immigrant with a green card.
Our daughter was born in California in 1980 and of course, she was a U.S. citizen.
Wife got her citizenship in 1990 after going to classes, taking a test and applying. :cool:

If you are born on American territory you are a US citizen. If you are an offspring of a US citizen you are a US citizen.

I'm just saying it's not automatic and there are some conditions; excerpt:

All I can say is "anchor babies". We really need to get rid of that and only 2 other countries (IIRC) have citizenship granted by birth on their territory per law.

Insane story .. just insane ..

Klass was born in Canada. His mom was Canadian and his father was American, born and raised in New York. The family moved to the U.S. in 1959, and Klass has lived in the country ever since — believing he was a dual citizen.

A head-scratcher. If I don't pay nothing by the due date, my insurance won't renew. It says to disregard if payment has been already been made, which it has, but if I disregard that I have to pay nothing that means that I have to pay something.

That's a few miles away from where most of my extended family lives and I'm pretty familiar with the road. Same HS my niece graduated from years ago. So tragic and senseless.

When I was a teenager riding with a friend in a Dodge Polara with hemi, he decided to peg the speedo at 120 on a deserted highway. I cringe when I think of what could have happened. Probably no seat belts back then either. Then there was another time when I was a back seat passenger in a convertible that almost flipped. That one can haunt me too.
