The official "WTF" thread

"My dad said they'd come. He said it his whole life. He said we ain't alone. He said one day, either we'd find them, or they'd find us. Know what else he said? He said, "I hope I ain't around when that day comes." "

"The Starlink satellite train is usually visible shortly after the satellites have been deployed when they are at their lowest orbit. "
yup, and that video looked nothing like what I have seen of the Starlink satellites.

This was in south central South Dakota. Straight-line winds ripped buildings apart and turned 2x4s into javelins that went right through the walls and metal roof of this house.

Yikes! :wow:

I remember back in the early 80's when The Weather Channel was first airing and a young Jim Cantore would be like on the Florida coast hanging on for dear life, hurricane-force winds blowing crap and debris everywhere and I'm thinking to myself....."what an idiot....a piece a flying metal roofing is going to slice your head off or a piece of lumber is going to impale you like a toothpick goes into an olive and that Columbia jacket will serve as a nice body bag."

But somehow he survived. They say the Good Lord watches over little children and fools (or something like that)...I guess that includes crazy weather reporters as well!

Reminds of a few episodes of "Criminal Minds" where a long-haul trucker was a serial killer; they began noticing a pattern of the murders along various interstate highways and particularly at rest stops and truck stops along those routes.

I was in the back fenced area for our 5 dogs doing my daily duty, picking up doggy doo. They're 2 Chi's, 2 Chi-mix and a Yorkie and are well fed. Anyway, I heard something squealing and falling down through the trees then land with a thump and said to myself "WTF" (hence, the post here). I investigated and lo and behold, a rat snake had grabbed a baby squirrel and was in the process of constricting it until it died and then began swallowing it. About the time I decided to make another shorter video with a different angle he/she decided he had enough of the meal in his mouth to not lose it OR didn't like my videography and took off into the woods, the squirrel's 2 back feet and tail sticking out. Be sure to select 1080p HD resolution.

I'll take rat snakes to squirrels any day.

I’d take squirrels all day long.

If I had a snake like that on my property I’d be looking online and do whatever it takes to buy napalm and would napalm my entire property

I hate snakes.

Thankfully where I live we don’t have snakes. Once I found a small garden snake in one of my pastures. I think I may have shit my pants.
