I am going to assume you are showing the ship has lights and therefore "did not lose power"?
It was simply the first pic I had found of the ship itself.

If I am not mistaken I believe some ships have a separate emergency generator in the event of main engine failure.

Ah, ok.

I was going to say they either restored power or have an APU for systems like this.

And I thought this comment and the previous video was a bit comical given the nature of this forum.

Super tragic. They lost power. Full reverse smoke coming out of stack. A ship that big you can't stop. I bet they find out error by crew (intentional?, maybe), not pilot. But something crew error down in the engine room or electrical room


I wonder if the captain was a DEI hire? Or how many of the crew were DEI hires?

May have had better results not dropping anchor and reversing... that I understands would pivot the ship .. if they had rudder control that may have been able to coast under

We will certainly learn more soon ..
