The Typical picture of a Perp on Nextdoor-type Apps with Consumer Grade Cameras like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Canary, Wyze, etc.

This guys trailer was stolen. Can anyone make out the vehicle and the plates:

So they got another image from a place that the trailer came thru. Better than the original, but still not enough to ID

Best quote so far: "Oh shit!!!!! Great footage so I’m sure the truck will be found!"

Compliments of Ring, we have a ghost of Christmas past LOL

Then when he got close to the door to try to bust it in, the camera switched to B/W:

And then as he walks away he yells for them to get outside now and he has a knife.

Apparently did that along several houses in a row.

Compliments of Vivint, we have a perp trying house doors.

And thanks to the magic of wifi cams only recording on motion, it misses him coming up to the house and only records him walking away.

But he does stop and look back, so that certainly makes it easy to IDENTIFY him:

"Does anybody recognise this person, he entered my garage then left, was driving a dark truck, I don’t think he took anything but would like to know who he is and why he entered my garage then drove away"

One response was 'is he wearing a mask or is that a beard?'

^ OMG love this comment LOL:

"there is an interesting new feature on Next Door. It lets you cut up a video frame by frame. You can also slow down the speed of the video to take out pics like these. "Right Click on pic "Save Video frame by frame" for the speed right click on video in the right hand corner the are 3 vertical dots. Click on the dots and you can decrease or increase the speed of the video. The 2nd pic might be enough to ID this kid."

I love that home 'professional' installers are now putting Reolink into businesses.
Update to this post was moving it to the garage.... I was waiting for next weeks post when the NVR died after a hot day.

Although it looks like this guy loves to install this in roof spaces! A novice or professional should not install in a roof space!!!

By the way I took a picture of this SUV this morning from my NVR. I was out walking the dog and this guy pulls up and asks me what time it is. Now this is a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee (going by the license plate) that this guy is driving and I can guarantee you that the radio console has the time on it. So immediately my alarm bells go off and I am wondering what this guy is up too. Now the quality of this picture you would not get with a RING or a similar camera and that is the reason I am posting it here in this thread.

What camera is this?

Ring to the rescue with some door checkers. Why do they always seem to have a purple tone to them LOL.

But like if you are going to have cameras, why don't you have them notify you when someone is out there - they were there almost 2 minutes.

The limitations of record on motion only. This Ring camera didn't trigger with the person walking to the house door, but first triggered when they were this far away walking away.

And then reached around the corner to check the other door just out of site of the camera.

Compliments of Ring, due to wifi and motion activated, they didn't get the perp until they were walking away.

The OP posted this: Despite having three cameras out front, these Ring cameras suck so much they did not catch the front of this guy. And I got zero notifications from my chimes or phone as all of this was happening. This is him walking off of my property, so too late. He broke into my neighbor’s car, and then walked right down my front walkway and down my driveway as casual as can be. if you live nearby, please be aware and make sure your doors are locked. Thankfully, I have a garage and was spared.
