The Typical picture of a Perp on Nextdoor-type Apps with Consumer Grade Cameras like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Canary, Wyze, etc.

Compliments of Ring, someone stealing some Vietnam Vet donation bags.

And thanks to only being able to record on motion activated only, the camera only triggers once the perp is walking away:

And thanks to wifi cams not working with motion, when the lights do kick on, you see it is a pixelated mess due to wifi demands:

Love the cation on this one. Seems the guy stole the recycle bin 'in broad daylight!'.

"Thanks to our neighbors camera, they were able to catch him in the act!"

Right. Even the closest area is way out of focus!

Something must be wrong with the setting of this camera if that is the native resolution. It can't be this shitty even with Reolink cameras in broad daylight.:blankstare:

The problem with mounting cameras too high is it's hard to get a good picture for the police to work with . . . right wittaj? :lmao:

The blink camera blinked and missed this thief coming up to the door and stealing this bike off the front porch.

In addition to showing the pixelated mess of a wifi camera with motion, it shows why we advocate not recording on motion only.

This was the best image they got of the perp:
