Hi @wrapter

US media, and US media personalities, and politicians I have very little trust in at this time .. most have an agenda to get the team into the White House and Congress for the next round instead of truth.

I highly recommend the videos which Alexander Stubb produced on the topic of Putin, Russia and Ukraine

for example:

"What I / we got wrong about Russia"

The real reason why Germany asked US to send M1 abrams, is that when both are destroyed M1 abrams and Leopard both will still have the same sales potential.

Here is kurdish woman fighter destroying a Turkish Leopard 2.

Some bit of history, Saddam gassed Kurds. After 2nd gulf war, kurds had a automnous government. Then ISIS took over most of Iraq and Syria but Kurds including their woman took part in defending there territory's killing ISIS terrorists.

In 2018 Turkey announced that they will invade Syria to eliminate kurds. US pulled it troops from kurdish controlled areas. US was unable to stop Turkey Erdogon from attacking the Kurds.( Kurds are designated as terrorists by Turks and Azabergan and no one else)

Kurds now turn for Russia for help, russians brokered a truce, where Russian and Turkish troops will jointly patrol the area seperating Turkey controlled areas and kurds.

Truce was broken last month when a bomb blasted in turkey, which turkey claim its the kurds.

Turkey conducted air strikes against Kurds, with both Russia and USA looking the other way. Russia needs Turkey help in keeping Nato war ships from entering the black sea. US needs turkey support in keep Russian war ships from entering black sea and nato member.

Earthquake hit turkey this week pausing Turkey military actions.

That's a lot of damn tanks! And it isn't obsolete unit it cannot kill any longer.

hmmm .. they may need to treat these older Leopards as "Tank Destroyers" * .. sounds like the newer RPG-7s will cut through them like a hot knife through cold butter ..

* - well perhaps IFV destroyers ;)

Possibly. Its a different battlefield these days. I do not like Russian Armor. If the tank commanders know what they are doing, and the accompanying infantry do their jobs, they should work fine. Ask the Israeli's about old, outdated tanks.....

Update from Joe Blogs on the Russian economy using probably sugar coated figures provided by the regime for the month of January. Things are progressing nicely :)

"If there's an Olympics sport with killings and missile strikes, you know which national team would take the first place," he told the ministers. ( Volodymyr Zelenskiy from article ) He also pointed out pointing out 228 Ukrainian athletes and coaches died as a result of the Russian aggression. Picture from thread.

tldr: As long as Russia holds Crimea it can disrupt and prevent Ukraine from being a stable state.

Another horrific atrocity committed by the Russian Nazi wagner group. If you really must the video can be found by some further digging on Twitter. Associated comments say it all. Hopefully a trail in the Hague awaits

And to think Putin awards this group medals while head Prigozhin operates with impunity, has political ambitions and wines / dines with the Moscow elite.

And previously "a dog's death for a dog"

And another mysterious death. Unlike above post I've linked to the relevant thread.

“The most likely outcome of this war is that Russia will take the Donbas and Ukraine will agree not to join NATO and recognize Crimea as Russian, which is an outcome that could have been achieved 10 months ago (with a tiny fraction of the deaths and the EU/global economy intact) if the US and NATO didn’t bribe the Zelensky regime with over $100 billion to keep the war going in perpetuity.”

For months now, numerous mainstream media outlets have been pushing the narrative that Russia is being routed in many areas of Ukraine and that the war could have entered its final phase.

Much of this appears to be little more than pro-NATO propaganda to boost morale, which paradoxically in the longer term could actually harm morale if Ukrainian forces aren’t prepared to dig in for a prolonged war.
