Though, knowing a little bit about how corruption works .. it does seems to be logical .. we know both Russia and Ukraine have significant corruption issues ..

Of course I'm sure. I'm from Russia. The conversation on the phone is not real. I can't explain it, but that's not how they talk. Our corruption is not as terrible and widespread as you imagine it to be.

1) I am certain you want to see more balanced and fairness ..
SO once Russia has had as many destroyed cities and civilian deaths and loss of territory to Ukraine, then I think we can find more fairness to look for Ukrainian "fakes" ..
Until then, I think Russia is enjoying this war too much ..
2) So far it has been far easier to find Russian fakes and lies .. they are really easy to find.
I just look for either of these two talking ..

The phone intercepts are available, in various places - I am only sharing an example .. you can decide for yourself what you would like to think of them.
I highly recommend finding family and friends who have lost loved ones on the Russian side and seeing what the real stories are ..
There is numerous evidence of Russian troops killing civilians and looting .. pictures, videos .. bodies ..
Many Russians have relatives in Ukraine. Russians are more worried about Ukraine than you are. We understand that we will restore Ukraine, not the United States or Europe. These alleged phone records are fabricated for you to give weapons and money. They make us laugh. Our military does not steal microwaves in destroyed houses. This is ridiculous. The military has a lot of support now. 8000 a day is very little. They don't pay that kind of money in the army. I have about 2000 a day, I work in an office. Miners and shift workers in oil and gas production earn much more. You need to know the Russians well to understand the nuances. Our government has been lying to us for a very long time. But lately people have started to believe. In February, I was confused about what was happening, but maybe we did everything right. Perhaps... I thought they were lying to us about education in your schools. But reading a thread on this forum about education... the hair on my head is moving. I'm sure you won't change your position, but think about it...

Unfortunately, power and laws in Russia no longer protect those who want to share their views or information which the Government does not like ( Authoritarian ).
Due to Russian laws I have little trust in any information that is out in Russia - reminds me to much of USSR / Soviet times when the State Controlled the Media.
In the USA and other nations, those in power also want to silence anyone who is against the views of those in power. SO this is not unique to any national identity. It is the corruption and greed of those in power which allow suppression of thoughts of those not in power.
Thankfully in the USA and other "Western Democratic" nations - it is hard for those in power to silence their opponents. ( We want to fight those here ... those who say they want no more "fake news" and that only they know 100% what is fake and what is not )
Certainly, some of what I share could be "fake news" .. I try to share what I think is interesting, and have a high potential of real .. ideally I like to share Real News 100%, yet not able to fully judge all.

Actually, I'm OK with that. If the Ukrainians want to fight and defeat Russia .. they have 100% of that right. Russia has started this war - and deserves to suffer for this war, a war which was not needed, a war with the entire world now will suffer from. You may be 100% for the war, however - destroying a Nation and claiming to want to rebuild it once you destroy it - is similar to beating and stabbing your neighbor as you steal his land and house - and then once you've enslaved him under you rule - stating you will give him soup and bandage him up.
Bottom line truth is: Russia did not need to start this war.
From a morale point of view: Russia has to pay for this, or else Russia will attack the next country it wants to. ( Baltics perhaps, Moldova perhaps, Poland perhaps, Romania perhaps, Finland perhaps, .. we've seen this before in WWII when Hitler was hungry for land .. )
( in the USA, we also have neo-marxists .. which may of us here find have authoritarian views .. so we do not like them either .. )
When men, women, children are killed needlessly, entire towns, villages, destroyed and wiped off the face of the earth, you want me to change my mind? But we know that the 'scorched earth' policy that Putin is commanding his military to do can be 'un-done' right? Oh that's right...none of it can be...so no, my mind will not change: Russia is 100% the aggressor and Putin is 100% a war criminal.
Unless you can show me that Ukrainians were crossing the border, destroying entire Russian villages and towns, and killing innocent men, women and children, then MAYBE I would change my mind. But we know that's not the case.
'We understand that we will restore Ukraine.' Think that was said by another world leader once before about 'restoring' countries.
Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Laos, Vietnam... Where are your Indians? After that, you tell us something... Time will tell.
Really? How many MILLIONS of people were killed by people with the same mentality as this asshole?
