A couple of today's articles from the BBC posted below.

Unless it is to withdraw the Russian war machine occupying Crimea i don't think there's any point in wasting money on this repair.

ISW latest assessment of Russian special military operation aka "operation clusterfuck"

One Russian milblogger complained on October 13 that newly mobilized men are being deployed in a haphazard way that will lead to 10,000 deaths and 40,000 injuries among them by February 2023.[5]
..........
The Kremlin’s rapid deployment of mobilized servicemen to the Kreminna-Svatove line may also indicate that Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to throw away the lives of mobilized men in a desperate effort to preserve a collapsing frontline.

This is sickening how much of the US tax payers money has been stolen by Ukraine, via the Criminal politicians in DC that has given it to them unopposed. This is just a partial list of what the general public knows about. 100's of billions of dollars. The tax paying citizens in the US didn't take Ukraine on to raise. We have our own problems created by DC that need to be dealt with. Let Ukraine go find another tit to suck on. That's my opinion and I am sticking to it.

Yes .. we and Europe are at war vs Russia, imho should never have happened .. and thankfully not many of our men and women are involved ..

We need to toss out those in the USA Government who failed to prevent this war ..

The price tag will be higher the longer this goes on .. so we need to give Ukraine maximum now to try and end it sooner.
( and we need to audit the books and go after the "10% for the big guy" types )

I disagree with that statement, but I think we can agree that we disagree on that. This isn't our war. We should have stayed out of it from the beginning. Now, the stooge in the white house is going to keep opening his mouth and get us into WWIII nuclear war with Russia and China. That will be a war that no one wins.

technically it is our war when we promised the security of Ukraine when we had worked to have them give up nuclear weapons ...

For us to not be involved, we should have encouraged Ukraine to keep their Nuclear Weapons .. I know many Ukrainians did think about keeping them .. took the USA UK and Russia security promises and lots of cash to convince them otherwise ..

The result of all of this, is simply encouraging more nations to get the bomb ..

After we get past the death and destruction phase there will be political discussions followed by some sort of negotiated settlement. A major part of this will be who foots the bill. At the minute a suggestion would be discount gas and oil from Russia for 20 years.

Germany also had to make reparations after WW2. Russia will have to do similar. It's the cost of aggression and ethnic cleansing.

Think of it like a wheelbarrow. It's in front of you :)

1. Since the Nord Stream gas pipelines are damaged, the sad Europeans also paid attention to the fact that their "faithful American allies" sell gas to Europe for 4 times more than to their consumers.
2. Claims are also growing that Norway earns too much from its gas and should sell it cheaper. In principle, this is a traditional European policy - if you can’t rob some third country, you need to try to steal something from your neighbors. We have seen "European unity" during the COVID pandemic.
3. Regarding reparations. We look with interest at Poland's demands on Germany.
4. Although in general all these "quarrels" of European politicians look like this, the hand of the United States is firmly inserted into them from below.

You seem to be confusing business models with reparations.

Reparations are the cost of waging war. Reparations are what the Russian people will have to finance. Russia signed up to this model at the end of WW2 so it should be happy to repeat this again.

Every day Russia remains in Ukraine there is a financial cost. The longer they pursue the final solution to the Ukrainian question the bill increases. If you are concerned challenge your government. If not keep justifying and encouraging the killing.

If you don't like the financial side of war you are going to be horrified when it comes to land negotiations.

Don't worry the Fuhrer will not notice you paying. He will be tucked up in the palace with his billions to keep him warm.

Winter is coming :)

Since we have touched on the idea what financial reparations Russia will have to make it might also be a good time to think what a negotiated land settlement might look like to ensure peace.

Prior to the outbreak of the Russian invasion in February it built up troops and artillery on the border of Ukraine citing it had no intention of invasion and these were military exercises only. Despite these assurances It invaded thus rendering them worthless.

With this in mind a negotiated settlement could be the complete withdrawal from all Ukraine and also a demilitarised grey zone extending say 90km into Russia. See the approximate red line in picture.

While Russia would be free to administer and run the grey zone any military build up could be considered an act of aggression/ intention of war which could result in the defensive use of HIMARS in said area to ensure peace in Ukraine.Screenshot_2022-10-15-11-29-55-61_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12.jpg

Interesting article on the picture you posted. History is repeating itself with the regime stage managing the narrative

Don't forget the huge cost of life. Don't forget Nazism was defeated and will be defeated again despite resurfacing in Russia. Most of all don't be fooled by the regime.

"However, the iconic shot, taken by the famous Soviet war photographer Yevgeny Khaldei and published on 13 May 1945 in the Ogonyk magazine, was a stage-managed re-enactment."

Comrade NIkson, just like a true communist, trying to throw out propaganda to compare it to reality. Putin certainly would be proud of you.

Again, why am I trying to point out the truth to a communist? I need to do something constructive, like mow the lawn.

Meanwhile Ukraine removed Elon Musk billboard in some place in south ukraine.

Russian ares using iranian UAV made of fiber glass and honeycomb structure to reduce radar signature (learnt from the captured US RQ170 in Irain, thank obama and cia).

So what they are doing is using a drone with a BOM cost of around 2k to 5k dollars and Ukraine is using up missiles which cost millions of dollars per shot and they still miss the drone.

When the US provided NASAM and german IRST systems arrive in ukraine each missile costs upwards of 1million dollars and can hit a target only at max range of 20miles away. Because these systems have a low height mast radar, its range is further limited in ukraine with trees and buildings vs a open desert like iraq.

Once the AA missiles of ukraine is depleted this way, Russian air force will then be able to fly at 10k feet and above.

Currently they are unable to do so because ukraine Buk M1 and S300 which are mobile are difficult to detect and hit, they have ranges of 100+miles. Same problem Nato and USAF had in Serbian war, where US lost even stealth aircraft like F117, with even more ancient soviet air defense systems.

Also the head of Nato said, "if russian wins in Ukraine its means a defeat of Nato" so this war is going to be a long drag, protests in EU against Nato and Russian sanctions are rapidly increasing. So it either ends with civilians outsing current woke leaders in EU and elsewhere or we end up with a Mushroom clouds.
