Dear Patriots,
It is a sad week on several fronts.
We are mourning that the world has lost an amazingly steadfast public figure,
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth lived a long life and survived many challenges with enormous devotion, grace and class. Her heirs will never come close to her unwavering dedication to her country.
The world will miss her. The world will never see another like her.
It is infuriating to have witnessed the indictment and perp-walk of
Steve Bannon.
Mr. Bannon is not deterred from his mission.

Democrats Fret as Stacey Abrams Struggles in Georgia Governor's Race
QUOTE: Ms. Abrams's standing — consistently trailing Mr. Kemp in polls by around five percentage points — has alarmed Democrats who have celebrated her as the master strategist behind Georgia's Democratic shift.
Georgia Democrats have grown increasingly pessimistic about Stacey Abrams's chances of ousting Gov. Brian Kemp from office, pointing to her struggles to rally key parts of her party's coalition and her inability to appeal to a slice of moderate Republican voters who can decide the state's elections.
Public and private polls have consistently shown her trailing Mr. Kemp, a Republican seeking a second term. And, in a particularly worrying sign for Ms. Abrams, polls also show she is drawing less support than the other high-profile Democrat on the ballot, Senator Raphael Warnock, who is seeking a first full term.
The gap between the two Democrats, which is within the margin of error in some recent surveys and as wide as 10 points in others, highlights the extent of her struggles. Though she is beloved by Democratic voters, she has lost some ground with Black men, who provided crucial backing in her narrow loss to Mr. Kemp in 2018. And while Mr. Warnock draws some support from Republican moderates, Ms. Abrams — who has been vilified more by the G.O.P. than any other statewide figure — has shown little sign of peeling off significant numbers of disaffected Republicans.

Judge Orders Fauci, Other Top Officials to Produce Records for Big Tech–Government Censorship Lawsuit
QUOTE: Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and other top Biden administration officials who were resisting efforts to obtain their communications with Big Tech companies must hand over the records, a federal judge ruled on Sept. 6.
U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, a Trump appointee, ordered the government to quickly produce documents after it was sued by the attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri over alleged collusion with Big Tech firms such as Facebook. The initial tranche of discovery, released on Aug. 31, revealed that more than 50 government officials across a dozen agencies were involved in applying pressure to social media companies to censor users.
But some of the officials refused to provide any answers, or answer all questions posed by the plaintiffs. Among them: Fauci, who serves as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden.
The government claimed that Fauci should not be required to answer all questions or provide records in his capacity as NIAID director or in his capacity as Biden's chief medical adviser. It also attempted to withhold records and responses from Jean-Pierre.
In the new ruling on Tuesday breaking the stalemate, Doughty said both Fauci and Jean-Pierre needed to comply with the interrogatories and record requests.

Grassley Optimistic About GOP Flipping Senate After Gloomy Predictions From McConnell
QUOTE: Senate Judiciary Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) suggested in a recent interview that he disagrees with past statements by GOP leadership downplaying Republican prospects in the 2022 midterms.
"I think we got good candidates in most states and we'll take the Senate by 52 votes to 48," Grassley said. "Remember, we have 21 Republicans up and only 14 Democrats, so the numbers are against us, but we've got real opportunities."
He continued: "You got to remember that [President Joe Biden] is underwater as far as approval, particularly for the economy and particularly in the question of, is the government headed in the wrong direction," he said, adding that he heard this sentiment from his constituents at town meetings throughout the month of August.
According to Rasmussen's daily presidential tracking poll, which compiles data about presidential approval over time, as of Sept. 7, Biden had an approval rating of 44 percent compared to 48 percent approval for President Donald Trump at the same point in his presidency.

After another reporter asked Lake if she'd talked with President Trump about being his running mate, she explained she chats with him "all the time" but has never talked about that scenario.
"I am applying for the job of Arizona governor and I'm reaching out to the people every single day," she told the press. "Where is Katie Hobbs right now? She should be standing right here, right here answering your questions. How often does she talk to you? If you're MSNBC, maybe all the time, but if you want to ask her a pressing question, she cowers and she's a coward."
Arizona's Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs has infamously chosen not to debate Kari Lake, a move even local media criticized.

Maine school board ordered to pay a parent $40K for violating First Amendment rights
QUOTE: A Maine school board on Thursday was ordered to pay a parent that they banned from attending school functions $40K for violating the First Amendment.
The Randazza Legal Group and Center for American Liberty represented client Shawn McBreairty in his federal lawsuit against the Maine-based School Board of Regional School Unit 22 for violating his First Amendment rights.
McBreairty filed the lawsuit, Shawn McBreairty v. School Board RSU22 on July 8 as a result of the school board banning him from attending school programs and board meetings.
McBreairty stated, "I filed this lawsuit because I believe that we do not have a Constitutional Republic without the First Amendment. I didn't receive any taxpayer money from this, I did it because it was the right thing to do. I hope that Chair Heath Miller and RSU22 learned their lesson and they will treat everyone with the respect and dignity that we deserve from now on when it comes to our Constitutional rights."
The Hampden-based RSU22 will pay McBreairty, an advocate for accountability in public education, a settlement of $40K after they tried to ban the conservative activist from attending school functions.

Parents sue Eau Claire schools for transgender policy
QUOTE: A group of parents is suing the Eau Claire school district for its guidance to staff members on supporting transgender students.
Parents Protecting Our Children, a group of parents with children in the Eau Claire school system, argued in a complaint filed in federal court Wednesday that the school's policies for supporting transgender students violate constitutional protections for parental rights and religious freedom.
A district policy titled "Administrative Guidance for Gender Identity Support" encourages transgender students to reach out to staff members with concerns and instructs employees to be careful who they talk to about a student's gender identity, since not all students are "out" to their families.
"School personnel should speak with the student first before discussing a student's gender nonconformity or transgender status with the student's parent/guardian," the policy says.
"School staff do not replace parents while their children are at school," said WILL attorney Luke Berg. "A gender identity transition is a major event in a child's life; schools must defer to parents about this."

Oberlin College has initiated payment in full of the $36.59 million judgment in the Gibson's Bakery case

We have covered this case since the November 2016 protests, through the trial (the only national outlet with a reporter in the courtroom every single trial day, through the appeals, and now what appears to be the end. It was not always easy covering this case, at one point Oberlin College tried to subpoena OUR records.
Oberlin College and Conservatory has initiated payment in full of the $36.59 million judgment in the Gibson's Bakery case and is awaiting payment information from the plaintiffs. This amount represents awarded damages and accumulated interest, and therefore no further payments are required.
