Criminal charges possible against TV station that hired shooter as guard 'For permitting or directing an unlicensed person to perform security services'

The fatal shooting in Denver of Lee Keltner, 49, during a clash between competing rallies over the weekend is just one of many in recent months amid Black Lives Matter protests since the death of George Floyd.

But the shooting of Keltner may have a longer reach than others since he had been hired by a Denver television station, KUSA-TV, to act as a security guard for reporters at the events.

The Denver City Attorney's office said that when the homicide investigation is concluded, the case might not be over.

"Licensed security guard employers that hire unlicensed security guards could face disciplinary actions against their licenses ranging from a fine, to suspension, to revocation," the statement said. "Businesses could also face criminal charges for permitting or directing an unlicensed person to perform security services."

This^^^^. That whole ABC News crew was out to “create’ the news. IMHO they are just a as culpable as the man who pulled the trigger killing that fine American citizen. This could go higher up in the chain of command at that ABC News station.

We've had the hearing on, basically all day. Talk about climate change! All that hot air must be causing a rise in global temperatures of at least 2 Celsius just from todays BS.

I had it on as well and checked in once in awhile to see what was going on.
The demon's hi lites are cares act which is pointless. And the Corona BS, stimulus act, which is their fault for the last four months now. Do they really think people are that stupid?

Kyle Rittenhouse will not face gun charges in Lake County related to the AR-15-style weapon he is charged with using to kill two men and wound a third during violent protests in Kenosha in August, prosecutors announced Tuesday.

An Antioch police investigation found that the Smith & Wesson .223 caliber rifle “was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin” and turned up no evidence the 17-year-old “physically possessed” the weapon in Illinois, according to a news release from the office of Lake County State’s Attorney Mike Nerheim. The news release does not reveal who is believed to have bought or held the gun before the shooting.

Hirono Asks Barrett If She Has Ever 'Made Unwanted Requests For Sexual Favors'

Sen. Mazie Hirono asked Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett whether she has been the perpetrator of any sexual misconduct, a question Hirono said she asks all nominees.

“I ask each nominee these two questions, and I will ask them of you. Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” the Hawaii Democrat asked during the hearing on Tuesday.

Hirono also used her time on Tuesday to criticize Barrett over her use of the phrase “sexual preference” instead of “sexual orientation” earlier in the day when the matter of same-sex marriage was being discussed.

“Not once, but twice, you used the term ‘sexual preference’ to describe those in the LGBTQ community,” Hirono said. “And let me make clear, sexual preference is an offensive and outdated term. It is used by anti-LGBTQ activists to suggest that sexual orientation is a choice. It is not. Sexual orientation is a key part of a person’s identity.”
