They are telling us this because it is what we want to hear. Growing numbers of Americans don’t want to take responsibility for their circumstances. They seek to blame someone else and demand that others improve their lot.
...The dangers of this culture are manifold. History shows that government cannot fix our problems. For all their limits, free markets and a by-the-bootstraps mentality have been the great engines of our prosperity, not state and federal programs that can only redistribute the profits of labor. The problems roiling Europe show what happens when countries run out of other people’s money. That’s the canary in the coal mine.
----Ironically, victimhood and entitlement make it almost impossible to fix our problems. Massive spending, first by Trump (in fairness, as a response to COVID) and then by Biden (to buy votes and create a “legacy”), fueled the inflation that voters rail against. Yet, neither Harris nor Trump are offering serious plans to reduce our deficit, much less our soaring debt. Calls for sacrifice are off the table.
......Trump would slow these changes, reducing regulatory strangleholds here and there without fundamentally changing the course we are on. He won’t and can’t do that because, as necessary as a correction may be, the voters don’t want it.

Neither Harris nor Donald Trump is seeking to restore the traditional values and ideals of freedom and opportunity that have made our country exceptional. Both candidates reject our foundational ideal of a self-reliant people in favor of a politics of entitlement and grievance.
Certainly I have no training in journalism and am not out to sell copy as the writer is so I'll throw this out and see if it sticks: with regard to Trump, absolute bullshit (I sincerely hope).

Agree, I think Trump does think that way, but the focus by media and I would argue a majority of Joe q Public isn’t on traditional values. The headlines are all about some form of govt handout, what’s in it for me
What other choice do we have?
I hope RFKs take on the situation is resonating with people, but I don't think the people who need to hear his message are hearing it because the media won't cover it.

To understand the situation with deep strikes BY Ukraine, you can imagine it like this: What would the USA do, if tomorrow an American aircraft carrier would have been hit by a Russian hypersonic missile in the Red Sea. The Yemeni Houthis would have fired the missile, but Russians would have supplied the missile and terrain data, Russians instructors would programmed and aimed it, while also training the Houthis to pull the trigger. Pretty sure the US would be upset … with Russia?
And Putin said this couple of months back that they will retaliate with sending lethal missiles to US adversaries.

USA and Russia .. why do people keep pretending Russia is the same powerful nation as The USSR.
it is not. Remember Ukraine made the T34 tanks .. not Russia. Russia is basically the remanding core of Ottoman Empire .. i.e. Turkey. Should Turkey be allowed to capture and dominate old Ottoman Empire territory???
Certainly Israel would not be happy with that.

Unless Russia feels significant pain they will not negotiate with Ukraine in any reasonable way. How do you get that pain without strikes into Russia ??
