I don't want to become an occupying army like the Brits were while the regional camel jockeys take pot shots at us.

Reacting on The Daily Show to Trump’s tariff threats against Canada and Mexico, Stewart remarked,“His trade war has awoken a sleeping giant. Not Canada, not Mexico, but the Democratic minority Senate leader. Release the Schumer!”

Stewart then played a clip of Schumer warning, “It’s going to affect beer, okay? Most of it, Corona here, comes from Mexico. It’s going to affect your guac, because what is guacamole made of? Avocados.”

New Fani Willis, Jack Smith Communication to Be Released​


The Department of Justice has been ordered to provide information on communications between former special counsel Jack Smith and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis about the prosecution of Donald Trump.

The January 28 ruling is the latest development in a lawsuit against the Department of Justice filed by Judicial Watch in 2023.

Why It Matters

Willis led an investigation into allegations that Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia after losing the state to Joe Biden. The inquiry resulted in indictments against Trump and 18 alleged coconspirators on charges of racketeering and other crimes.

Smith was appointed to oversee two criminal investigations into Trump. One focused on Trump's role in the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, and another looked into alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House. Both investigations resulted in indictments, but the cases were later dismissed.

President Donald Trump signed a set of executive orders on Tuesday withdrawing from one United Nations body, defunding another, and ordering a review of U.S. involvement in others.

As Breitbart News reported:

Trump … signed executive orders withdrawing the U.S. from the United Nations Human Rights Council, defunding the terror-linked United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), ordering a review of U.S. involvement in the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, and a review of U.S. ties to the United Nations generally.

Trump also signed an executive order restoring his “maximum pressure” policy on Iran, which he said he did reluctantly, citing Iran’s efforts to develop a nuclear weapon.
