US Elections (& Politics) :)

I read one criticism on term limits-- that it creates the danger of an overly empowered bureaucracy that truly "runs" the government as the elected officials are a revolving door....
The obvious flaw in that thinking is that the permanent legislators become part of the overly empowered bureaucracy, making it even more overly empowered.

Solution - Employment in governmental positions should be limited to five or ten, at the most, years. Term limit employment to match. Bet that would cut the governmental payroll in half right off the bat.

We can depend on an almost immediate ban on fracking. Let's see how much support the Biden (or perhaps Harris) presidency has when energy costs begin skyrocketing and companies start laying off workers. Wait until restaurants and small businesses everywhere begin shutting down due to new regulations imposed by the Department of Labor. That will be what turns things around for the Republicans: when voters see for themselves what happens to the economy under the Biden / Harris presidency.
What ever Biden does or does not do that makes a bad impact on the economy will never be stated to be his fault. It either will be Trump's fault (remember Obama it's Bushes fault) or the MSM will just not report it.

The sad truth is that the liberals control the media. The MSM really are just liberal propaganda machines. How much did Hunter's laptop get air time on anything other than Fox? Zilch. Do you really think that they will cover job losses due to Biden's decisions?

That means MSM won't cover any of Biden's decisions, they'll all be disasters for the country and, or, the economy.

I do not think they will not cover it, they will spin it. They will lie about it, and they will pass it off as 'transitional' or Trump's fault.

You guys sound like you stopped taking your Zanax. How about we all get together and try to improve the state the country is in now? The biggest issue is how we view everyone with a different opinion as an ahole. Wouldn't it be more productive if we all stopped the invective and started actually listening to what others have to say? You don't have to agree. In fact it getting people together with differing views usually results in better outcomes.

When the dems are in control, compromise means agreeing to do everything they want the way they want. Obama also said there weren't red states and blue states, and he was everybody's president. It didn't take too long to change to "Elections have consequences" and "We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for a ride, but they gotta sit in back." .

Only to a point. The media can't spin the price of gasoline doubling if Biden bans fracking and offshore drilling. Nor can it spin employers telling their employees, "We have to lay you off because we can't afford to pay the costs of the new regulations imposed by the Department of Labor." Nor can Trump be blamed for the next round of riots and arson in our major cities (and you can be certain they will occur). Biden and Harris won votes by promising they'd make things better, aided by Trump shooting himself in the foot over and over. A year from now, everyone will be seeing the results in their daily lives.

People lose sight of why Trump was elected. Half of America didn't just wake up one morning and say, "I think I'll be racist from now on", regardless of what Democrats keep saying. I recall one writer who put it perfectly prior to the 2016 election: America is divided between the "protected" class and the "unprotected" class. The protected class consists of those people who make the laws and regulations, but don't have to live with the their consequences (i.e. most of our politicians). A perfect example is a wealthy school board official who institutes byzantine rules tying the hands of public teachers, while at the same time sending her own children to private school.

The unprotected class consists of those whose daily lives are made miserable by the laws, rules, and taxes imposed by the protected class. Trump played the populist card perfectly by tapping into their anger and frustration. The problem was that he lacked the personal diplomacy to hold onto his office.

Biden is "Clinton lite", backed up by Democrats who epitomize the protected class. The rules will be for the rest of us, but never for them. The media can only protect them to a point. All it will take is another populist with Trump's charisma but more self-control, and he will win the 2024 election.

LOL what a fucking hypocrite  Were you even awake when you posted the exact opposite for the last 60-90 days here?

You're as fake as the rest of your party

What would this even look like? Another boring republican in a suit? Which things should he have exercised self control in?

How about we all get together and try to improve the state the country is in now?
You'll need to extend this fake olive branch again at a later date. Can we schedule one around Christmas?
All my liberal friends are dunkin on me due to the 10th Trump post-election lawsuit being thrown out. Give it a minute.

There's not enough bourbon in the world to get me to accept any fake olive branch from cretins like @ctgoldwing .
Get used to the "Resistance" pal, you have 4 years of it coming

The Democratic party consists of many factions. The only thing holding them together is their hatred of Trump. Once he is gone they will turn on themselves and decimate their own party. Unfortunately, in the process they will have destroyed the Constitution in the name of power.

Are you a prophet?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called the Democrat Party “incompetent” for not placing progressives in top positions, warning former Vice President Joe Biden that if he does not select far-left people for top positions, the Democrats will lose big in the 2022 midterm elections.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Calls Democrats 'Incompetent' After Election Losses

This is a great example of the democrat version of coming together.

If the election result gets be flipped, we have 3 vs 6 judges. If Joe wins he will make sure vote fraud continues and violation will be taken for granted where he will make sure no republican president is ever selected. Joe will give 11 million citizenship and it will change the outcome of everything.
If Trumps wins he will make sure this fraud does not happen again.

Can you elaborate on the path to flipping? MI, AZ, ??. So far Rudi's lawsuits have been focused on dozens to a thousand votes, we're talking flipping multiple states via 1000 papercuts?
