US Elections (& Politics) :)

The hammer is going to be coming real hard. Elon said their goal is reduced the 400+ agencies down to 99 or below.

The problem is Elon and Vivek will have NO real power. They are advisors. That's it. And the uni-party entrenched big government bureaucrats will go to great lengths to protect THEIR means of control. We might not be in Kansas anymore, but we sure as hell ain't out of the woods. It IS going to be an interesting 18 months or so. All the idiot leftists who want big government to take care of them will be screaming. If nothing else, it should be entertaining.

EDIT: How much can Trump simply do by EO? Remember when Reagan dropped the metric system conversion advisory board? Damn I'm old.

A month or so back Trump said Elon specifically asked for a commission and not a Cabinet position. This is only because he can continue to remain the CEO of his companies. He will be a Trillionear in 2 years time.

If they cannot get the power, it's likely Vivek will head the department full time, he has resigned as CEO of his companies when he decide to run for president. While Elon will be a advisor.

Jimmy carter made the Department of education with executive power, so can Trump make a DOGE with executive power.

Currently DOGE will work with the office of management and budget and mostly importantly the white house itself. As Vivek said a president as the power to close down redundant agencies and mass lay offs. Now armed with the SC rulings, they have the legal power do so.
Vivek was the first to acknowledge that they will be sued and taken to court. So they know what they are up against. Vivek knows the law and constitution and court cases, he was top of his class at Yale law.

Elon proposes a 2 year pay for employees fired. While Vivek thinks it should be even less.

But what ever it is these two need extra security, there will be a lot of federal employees who would like them gone.

Also don't forget, Stephen Miller is one of Trump's closest advisors. His knowledge of constitutional history and law ranks him second only to Alan Dershowitz, who is renowned for his knowledge and understanding.

They caught the leftist democrat in Cambodia, the one who leaked Israel's military plans. Flew him to Guam at this point

Several House GOP members are now ACTIVELY OBSTRUCTING the TRUMP AGENDA and mandate given by the American people..

This is why having a majority of seats doesn't mean republican control. This election flushed out a lot of RINOs, but there are still enough left to subvert whatever the final republican house seat count ends up being.

I was about to say the same thing. Also, includes laptops, rechargeable batteries, electronic(s) accessories, etc
This may sound stupid but I am ok with tariffs, from what I remember when Trump started the tariff war during his first administration, it was more about the availability of goods. I remember appliances were suppose to be harder to get then, not sure since we were not in the market for any then.
Also, when our farmers were selling to China they got hit with China's tariffs who countered Trump's tariffs. I remember Trump helping out our Farmers during that time too.

One of the businesses I remember was Fry's Electronics, I watched our 3 stores in Houston area not restock for Black Friday deals. Their shelfs were half full, the following year they were almost completely empty yet every time I asked their employees they all stated they are not going out of business and the owners are waiting it out on their island. Later, found out that what Fry's did was try to get around the tariffs by having their China goods shipped to Mexico, guess it did not work since they ended up going out of business.

So this was all before the Plandemic, thinking this time will be more the same, more about availability so vendors raises prices. Not like Biden's Inflation where all prices on everything went up.
