Who here uses a Mac (all Apple devices in general), and why? Seriously...

I would argue they’re by nature different, apples and oranges.

FaceTime was intended from the beginning as a one to one video “phone call” and uses iPhones built in capability to do that.

Google meeting is 3 simply steps takes an extra 2 minutes but was intended for group “meetings” and collaboration.
For that it works quite well. At former job we used to use it a lot for 10-30 people or so, maybe 5-10 times per day.

Google meet was the business version of Google Duo. Duo was meant for person to person video calling. From Google: "Duo is a simple, fast one-to-one video calling app for everyone—whether you’re on Android or iOS, a fast or slow connection, in New York or New Delhi. Like Allo, Duo is based on your phone number, allowing you to reach anyone in your phonebook. And its simple interface fades away when you’re in a call, so it’s just the two of you."

All the PC OSes have gotten really good.

Gone are the times mac os or windows os would randomly crash ..

So much better now.

The browser has now become king, and as long as the os supports newer browsers most people can get much work done. Recall when Microsoft did what it could to kill Netscape and others .. and was forced to support mac os from its death by putting Ms office on the mac.

Apple I absolutely am getting frustrated with the walls they are putting up with regards to interoperability .. this tells me they are getting too strong.
