Is there a general consensus for the most stable OS to run BI on? Machine would be dedicated to BI only. Win10 or Win8?
Not sure if I understand your question worded "....started to allow you to run services".Which OS version started to allow you to run services with hardware acceleration?
I think he means which OS after 7 lets you run as a service and hardware acceleration...Not sure if I understand your question worded "....started to allow you to run services".

Super useful, thanks. While we're at it, can anybody recommend a good guide to cleaning out bloatware that might be on whatever system I have? I've been almost exclusively Unix/Mac for the last decade or more so going to have to re-educate myself on how to run a clean Windows system.I do this to every new Windows 10 PC or laptop I set up for people:

Dont....always, and i mean always, do a complete clean install...once windows 10 is activated on a pc, you never need a key....download the microsoft media creation tool, direct from microsoft and create a w10 bootable usb....easy as pie.Super useful, thanks.
