This is a great example of a potential attack which your system should be able to assist in helping to ID the suspects.

Test this scenario
1) Can you ID someone running on the sidewalk in front of your driveway?
2) Can you ID a car in front of your house?
3) Can you ID suspects wearing a hoodie at the front door of your car?

Remember, try to setup multiple cameras, along with alarm systems.

Video: Houston carjacking crew steal vehicle at gunpoint, police searching for suspects

A carjacking crew took under 30 seconds to steal a vehicle at gunpoint right from the owner's driveway, and it was all caught on video .

Now, Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects.

On Sunday, August 4, at 7:15 pm, the victim pulled into his driveway at the 11900 block of Longbrook. As he was getting out of his vehicle, security camera video shows a man quickly walked up to the driver's side door while pointing a gun at the driver.

That is not a great neighborhood, I use to live about 2 miles from there.
This is why I have a carry license, and have a pistol mounted and ready to go in my truck. My wife also has one in her car.
Also DO NOT PARK in the drive way.
Better camera placement.

Good idea about backing in to the garage.
