I just recently bought Reolink RLC 410 cameras as they were advertised as Blue Iris compatible, but was having problems. I now see in this forum that others experienced issues as well, but not sure if these persist.

Hope someone can help me with my setup. I have Blue Iris and 2 Reolink RLC 410 cameras.
In the reolink client apps on the phone as well as on the PC, I never have any problems viewing the stream.
I have increased the Receive buffer to 20MB. One of the cameras works most of the time, the other camera doesn't work right now. My setup in blue iris for both cameras is the same. I did however try to set the two cameras to use different ports. In blue iris, I use http at the top, and then selected reolink.

I have "Use RTSP/stream timecode" currently disabled.

Are there any hints? I have the settings recommended on Reolink's website with baseline h264. My only modification is that I changed the encoding settings to record in only 1080p and 15 FPS, as I don't need higher resolution with more FPS and want to save some compute resources.
Thanks!

they do persist...see the multiple threads on this topic...Reolink refuses to add an iframe interval in their firmware...why support a company that lied to you. Return them.

Funny how if it's not a Dahua most replies are to sell whatever camera the person is having issues with instead of asking for more info and trying to at least try to get them up and running. I have both Dahua and Reolink and have them all working fine under BI. I have mine setup as per Reolink's suggestion, set at 1080p and 20fps and have no issues.
GreenNoob can you post a screen shot the Video configuration page?

I reverted the ports on the camera that didn't work well, and right now it seems to be working fine again. This is my configuration:

Right now, I am recording on both the reolink client app and on blue iris.

You are a complete idiot. Did you fail to read the threads discussing the issues with reolink and reolinks REFUSAL to add iframe interval settings to its firmware DESPITE knowing that it will not work with BI otherwise...setting the camera to BASELINE thus reducing the image quality of the camera is NOT a solution. Today, dahua provides the best bang for the buck. I would not advise retuning say an avigilon camera or axis. You are a complete fool. Why anyone would support a company that DEFRAUDS and lies to its customers is beyond me.
Reolink decided not to add iFrame interval because it'll cause issues for "some people".
This forum is ALL about helping folks avoid getting ripped of. SO THE BEST ANSWER IS RETURNING SHIT CAMERAS. If you have a problem with that go away and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Once again, REOLINK CAMERAS ARE NOT BLUE IRIS COMPATIBLE. ANY CLAIM BY REOLINK OTHERWISE IS FALSE.

Nice constructive post. Most other forums usually don't allow name calling much less by administrators. I have read the all the Reolink posts btw. Yes they don't support changing iFrame and while I don't think that's good I haven't had any issues with them like the other people have had.

I don't think they are the best by any means and am slowly replacing them. But they do "work". Also I have been able to set the stream to high and still get it to work.

You also need to change the Discovery to 8000.

This is not most other forums. I dont need your advice on how to run this forum. If you dont like it leave. If you need help with that just let met know. They dont work as evidenced by other users...maybe you should start reviewing your video footage..you dont have a magical camera.

Funny. I do review my footage every morning. No stuttering, no bands, no issues. Just not as good as the star lights at night. That's why I am replacing them.

I actually set the port for reolink to use to 8999, so that should be fine. I am thinking that just this one camera has some hardware problems, the other one works without issues.

I looked at the Dahua cameras, but most of them seem to have poor or very few reviews on Amazon.

given the good reviews they have for crap cameras I would not take consumer opinion with much weight on video surveillance.. Dahua are not designed for consumer use and rarely are just plug-n-play so I would expect a bunch of pebcak issues mostly in the Amazon review bubble of idiots.

most amazon reviews for "good" cameras are fake...use fakespot.com
Dahua is a solid company offering the best bang for your buck today.

Thanks, I looked at some Dahua cameras, it looks like there is only one way audio. Is there any affordable camera that comes with 2-way audio and blueiris support out of the box? I don't need anything fancy in terms of video quality or features, just for occasional monitoring while on vacation.

Two way audio is crap; the latency is far too high to be used like you think it will.. unless its a doorbell camera that uses VoIP it will be horrible, and doorbell cameras are mostly low quality junk.

before you even start to worry about 2-way audio outdoors; are you sure its even legal for you to record audio? most of the times its considered eavesdropping

Huh, I didn't even think of that, it seems weird for it to be eaves dropping on my own property. I am in Washington state.
I have seen doorbells like ring and the functionality seems pretty cool - to be able to shout at a potential thief.

and what exactly will that accomplish? what if they can tell from the background noise then your not at home and using some app.. yell at em while they kick your door down?

besides, a quick search shows that you cant record any audio:
Washington's wiretapping law is a "two-party consent" law. Washington makes it a crime to intercept or record a private telephone call, in-person conversation, or electronic communication unless all parties to the communication consent. See Wash. Rev. Code § 9.73.030(1).
unless exempt, states with a two-party consent law render recording the audio pickup in security cameras illegal.. no thief is going to consent to it and what if you pickup audio from beyond your property because conditions are right? If the neighbors are fighting and your recording the audio its a crime

Thanks! That's definitely good to know. Time to disable recording on the one camera that works fine.
I think yelling at the potential intruder has some chance of spooking him off. For example if I tell him that I called the police.
Otherwise, it would also be nice if there was a built-in alarm.

one of my dahuas has a strobe light hooked to alarm output; its watching a sidewalk and I have it configured so if someone walks down the sidewalk between midnight and 6am it flashes the strobe at em to scare am away; no human interaction required.

I trust Fenderman.
I bought one RLC-410s during the Christmas sale directly from Reolink.com.
I tested it 2 days ago, but the quality was very poor for a 4MP camera; I guess the poor quality was due to "baseline" setting as mentioned by fenderman.
I had planned to buy more Reolink cameras for great price of such 4MP cameras, but I have put a stop for investing my money on Reolink due to its poor quality with Blue Iris.
As I am writing this message, RLC-410 is currently on sale for $60 on Amazon (lightning deal) and it will be on sale for next couple of days with 20% off per email I received from Reolink, but I will not buy any more Reolink camera until they solve the problem with BI.

Here is my email communication with Reolink concerning Blue Iris:

Hi *****,

Thanks for contacting us!
Yes, Reolink cameras could work with the Blue Iris. You may refer to the attachment for the configuration.
Also for the those said the problem on iframe, we didn't confirm the problem now and it seems not all the users have this problem.
We are working on it and if you met any problems about the Reolink and Blue Iris, please kindly keep us informed and we'd help you to solve it.
Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.
Merry Christmas!
