Thanks for your quick reply! I'm sorry, I am really frustrated after so many hours of trying to get the Reolink to work, that I just wanted to jump on one of those Dahua.
I totally missed the lack of IR. I am going to install one over the garage and one near the front door, can you recommend a camera around 90$?

Ok judging by your links it looks like you want something easy to buy off Amazon also looks like you're wanting to spend around 100 bucks from the current links you already posted. Check out this camera

Dahua IP Camera IPC-HDW4431C-A 3.6mm 4MP Full HD IR Mini Dome PoE Network Camera IP67 Built-in Mic https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MDMMKXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_9eRzybPPRDWWQ

This will be better then any of the ones you posted and it has audio .

Thanks fenderman and Ryan00. Actually, I wouldn't mind ordering from Aliexpress either, it looks like the camera is 67$ over there. Just some wait time...
I get the pennywise/pound foolish comment, but two of the starlight would be too expensive. Also, I already have lots of light in the area that I am recording (3 security lights with 2 bulbs each), plus normal fixture.

I need some outdoor cameras (no need of PTZ) that can withstand the heat and/or expose to the sun heat for Houston, TX. Can someone please advice?

Thanks,

Tdwilli1: I appreciate your comments about the reolink cameras, and also wish there were some constructive dialogue other than "they suck." But I am also returning 2 reolinks given their shortcomings with BI.

This is not most other forums. I dont need your advice on how to run this forum. If you dont like it leave. If you need help with that just let met know. They dont work as evidenced by other users...maybe you should start reviewing your video footage..you dont have a magical camera.
Fenderman: I know you are king of this forum and clearly you hate Reolink, but why so much anger towards tdwilli1? Sadly, your current attitude is the exact opposite of your welcome post:

Asshole attitudes get it right back. I will not let incompetent users fool others into wasting their money...if you dont like it you can leave as well. Reolink is defrauding their customers. You want some constructive dialogue yet you are returning them because they simply DONT WORK with blue iris....dialogue cannot magically fix defective firmware...the issue is known, yet reolink refuses to fix it.
I think you are confused about what that welcome post means. Read it again. It does NOT give users the right to act like jerks or disrespect mods. I dont have to put up with that crap, though I provides LOTS of leeway. More than any other forum I have seen. I will not put up with passive aggressive assholes. I think its also important to note that he was NOT banned.

Just to clear the air from my side, I at no time was recommending to buy the Reolinks. I stated in a couple of posts that I was slowly replacing them (mostly due to the Dahua's better night vision sensor), but I was able to at least have functioning cameras until then. And with me saying I had them functioning seemed to call into question whether I was lying or had a magical camera. I was just trying to help out with a question to get someone running with the equipment they had to hold them over maybe till they could replace them if they didn't like them. This is why I mostly read forum threads and suck up info and only occasionally try to help. You never know with just typing how someone will take a statement.

And Fenderman is right he didn't ban me which surprised me and I was hoping we could move forward and continue to learn.

You should learn that you dont directly attack a moderator in your first few posts. You dont post passive aggressive sarcastic remakes like "Funny how if it's not a Dahua most replies are to sell whatever camera the person is having issues with instead of asking for more info" that statement was a direct attack and false. Go read my post before making accusations. Yes over the last few months the dahua starlight turret has been my recommendation because its the best damn camera in the low end price range. Many times I will tell posters to return crap cameras, MOST of the cameras coming out of china ARE GARBAGE. I am saving their money and doing them a huge favor. I will keep doing so whether you like it or not.
Dont know why you are surprised that you werent banned. No one is ever banned for disagreeing with me. What happens is they get cocky and think they have permission to hurl insults and/or make false accusations...I dont have to put up with that crap.

They work fine in BI; it takes some tinkering with the settings, but so do most cameras. I found my Hikvision more painful to setup. With the most recent firmware from Reolink, I've been able to run mine using the high or main profiles without issues. I've shared my settings in other posts so folks simply need to use the search function. I've tested the cameras with Milestone, iSpy, Sighthound, SecuritySpy, and Netcam Studio and they work fine. All that said, I wouldn't recommend Reolink for large setups and agree the Dahua turret you mentioned is the best camera for the money right now.

They do not work fine with blue iris...disabling hardware acceleration to make them work is not a solution. Reolink should never be purchased for large or small setups..the company lies to its customers, the firmware is flawed and they refuse to fix it despite knowing the issue.

This issue may have been corrected. I updated my firmware just recently and have been running my Reolinks using the high profile and hardware acceleration on and have seen no ill effects, but want to wait a little more time to see.

I have 5 reolinks 410's and 420's and don't have any issues with Blue Iris. I have worked with support because I found some security holes that came up and they had no issues working on a fix, so support has been good for me. Maybe a firmware update is what you need? I set them up in this sequence.

1. configure the reolink with new password, set encode to 15fps and Main (anything higher makes a box work harder so 15 is nice)
2. In BlueIris I add a new camera, put http://ipaddress, ID and password and click on Find/Inspect. After that the profile won't be correct
so you just change to the Reolink version.

simple. I added my 5th this week.

I can understand the negativity due to lack of support from the mfgr. But stating as fact that Reolink cameras do not work with BI is a flat out lie.

I have three setups that use many reolinks along with other brands and they work. I wouldn't have bought them if they didn't.

My home has 2 x 410 and 1 x 420.
My work has 15 x 410 along with a couple foscam, geovision, huacam
My friends house has 9 x 420.

Are they as plug and play as other brands? maybe not, but with some slight tweaks they run beautifully. I've even used footage to catch someone breaking into a neighbors car.

And yes, this thread caused me to stop lurking and register an account :)

Its is FACT. Many users reporting problems. Search the threads on this forum alone. Are those folks lying? Running BASELINE profile is NOT a solution. Furthermore, Reolink lied to its users. You have to be pretty stupid to buy their garbage after that (even before that, they are no name junk). There are much better options for Dahua. They are a garbage toy company.

I haven't seen issues running either High profile or Baseline.

I'm sure Dahua works great, I don't have much experience with them however. If I had bought a couple cameras of any brand and had continuous problems, I'd probably feel the same way as other people here. I'm just stating that I haven't seen the issues while using these cameras.

Also remember, when people have problems they'll post about it online. When people encounter no problems, they generally won't take to the internet to complain about it. So judging any brand based off a support forum might not show a proper representation of how their cameras work.

Now that costs are coming down in general on all cameras, I'll probably pick up a couple Dahua cameras when I go to expand further. It would be a good test to compare them together.

No, the issue was not simply a few users posting here. In fact it was so bad that Blue iris posted about it in a release note and reolink posed using baseline as a "solution"...
This is not a reolink support forum and there were MANY users with problems here...many more than dahua despite dahua outselling reolink by an insane amount.
