Anyone have this doorbell DB10 from Dahua?

http://www1.dahuasecurity.com/products/db10-18591.html

From reading the manual, it seem to be wifi based doorbell but it seem to only work with Dahua cloud. I am looking for one that will work with Dahua NVR and iDMSS and wonder if anyone here have this doorbell working with NVR?

Page not found on your link via mobile phone. I searched and found many inoperative links in the results, but I did find the below links. It looks like it just hit the press on December 11th, is battery powered only, and ~$100 on Alibaba.

It looks good on the surface. Maybe it can be run 24/7 with the USB charge port connected.

I don't understand how they can get/claim 5 months of use with a small battery system. I also don't understand how they can get a good picture if they are off (standby) and then turn on somehow before the event by 3 seconds and then maybe a minute or two. Without IR, i wonder how much power it would draw (camera +WIfi). If i assume it draws 1/2 W active on average, and 30 seconds per captured clip, 20 clips per day I can get to about 5 -6 months, but i cant imagine that it has that large of a battery unless they stick it in the wall behind.

Thanks Bill, looks like a new one. Similar to the other models in this category.

Note: the Dahua link worked for me this AM, here's a screen capture

Looks like it has two wire connection points on the back to tie into mechanical door chime so wondering if it can receive power from the transformer?

Yes, I saw that but was wondering if it's possible to potential mods to get it power from transformer since the manual says it can be connected to either mechanical or electronic chime wires in the back of unit.

It can not work with NVR...it's battery powered
Because it's battery powered doesn't mean it can't work with NVR. I don't think it even stream continually but only stream to a cloud when a button is pressed or motion is detected.

I am just wondering if it can stream to NVR or NAS instead of a cloud when an event is triggered since it use WiFi. It the purpose of a doorbell camera anyway, camera only activates when an event occurs. I already have a 24/7 camera above the door but I wanted something at facial level that doesn't look like a commercial or gated community doorbell panel but still can send event recording to a NVR or NAS instead of cloud.

It does in fact mean that....because the connection to the NVR would take to long for it to be practical...there is not a SINGLE battery powered device that is compatible with NVRs without an intermediary base station (like arlo flexpower) and that is the one one.
This camera does NOT support and standard streaming protocols as identified in the docs...it is 100 percent not compatible with any NVR/vms...dahua and others do have doorbells that do provide onvif functionality why waste time with this garbage trying to make it work (and it wont, ever)..anyone who buys this dahua product is a sucker...its worse than garbage.

Then what camera doorbell would you recommend?

I dont recommend any of them, but if you intend to integrate it into a dahua NVR, I would go with something made by dahua...or wait for them to release a proper doorbell...this thing is a joke...

I always prefer Dahua products even with the bad experience I had with the 5231 yesterday but still I knew that Dahua build good products compare to all the other cameras out there that I have installed and configured for others.
'
Even if you think this doorbell is a joke, I think it 10x better than the "Ring" doorbell that have gain popularity in the last few months due to an app called "Nextdoor" . Everyone is raving about that doorbell in Nextdoor and encouraging other to get it.

You are assuming its better than ring....you dont even know if you can power it directly, likely you cannot, and that makes it useless...with ring you can sell it if you dont like it....this will be impossible to sell...

mobile devices on dahua's site redirect to a different site. content of www. and www1. diverge, 'international' models on www1.

Documentation on this doorbell is pretty sparse, there is some kind of connection on the back that can supposedly be hooked to a chime, but idk if you can power it that way. I don't really want a rechargeable doorbell. Dahua somewhat recently updated one of their 2 unit door PoE intercoms but don't seem to have released a similar 1 unit model.

Anyway to hardwire this doorbell without having to rely on an internal battery? Any other variant on the way?

The manual shows some terminals on the back that can be connected to a chime, there's no indication that it can be powered this way. It does have a market with people in apartments, but I don't think many others will want a rechargeable doorbell.
Someone pointed this out in another thread, but this doorbell camera is somewhat large.

It would be nice of they made a single door version of this: VTO3211D-P2
