Yep, now I see.
Can I install an app on my phone? What about my computer? Or do I just put in the link on the web browser?
By the way, thank you so much for your time. Helping ignorant people is a kind thing to do.:smash:

No app to install, simply put the link in the devices web browser. I am not sure what browsers it has been tested with but Chrome and FF are a for sure.

Glad to help out and had nothing to do with being ignorant. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Version 29 is here!

For best results, update Blue Iris to 4.7.6.1 before installing UI3 version 29.

bp2008/ui3
To install releases from github, download the release zip and extract it to Blue Iris 4/www, overwriting all files.

Version 29
  • Video streaming profiles are now fully user-configurable in UI3. Full functionality requires Blue Iris 4.7.6.1 or newer.
  • Replaced the previous six hard-coded streaming profiles with a new set of intuitive defaults.

bp2008 is doing all of the UI3 work with assistance from ruppmeister. See the first post of this thread for more info or use the "About This UI" tab in the UI3 dropdown menu.

So why is this better than the BI console? Again, I'm too lazy to read all the comments.

@bp2008 Can you explain how the new UI3 streaming settings work with the Streaming profiles set in BI. For example if I have Profile 0 configured in BI.....how do I know which profile to select in UI3 ? Or does UI3 even use these set profiles in BI ?

It works pretty simply. Each streaming profile in UI3 is based on one of your 3 streaming profiles configured in Blue Iris, and can override any, all, or none of the individual encoding parameters. The default profiles all inherit from Streaming 0. You can see this when you choose the new Streaming Profiles option in the main menu (upper-right corner) and then click on any of the profiles that are included by default.

All the default H.264 profiles override the frame size and Max Bit Rate values in order to deliver meaningfully different streams, but other parameters like Quality, keyframe interval, preset, profile, etc, are inherited from the Streaming 0 profile as configured in Blue Iris.

If you want a "Streaming 0" profile that behaves exactly like the old one, you just need to create a new profile and configure it as such:

First off THANK YOU for the amazing UI!!

I LOVE the feature of being able to export to a avi file! Especially the ability to choose the start/stop point....

My question: is it possible to have the Blue Iris timestamp overlay with the exported avi file using UI3?

I know I could enable timestamp camera setting side but I was running into issues with time/date sync so I've always used BI timestamp overlay.

use the timesync tool local time server running on the blue iris machine. Sync the cameras to it. All the times will be exactly the same.
