yes and your ideas i have tried. like using fing, but it did not work for me, and messed up my phone 2 times. one time i reset the phone, and that was hours of getting everything back the way i had it. and i lost my notes i had in that app, i had hundreds of passwords. now when i visit my sites i will have to ask for new passwords. not anyone's fault just the way it is. the second time i installed fing again based on your instructions for getting the ip address for that camera and the next day my phone started messing up again. now if i try to explain what it was doing some will say they don't understand what i'm trying to say, so i just said shit, they got that didn't they. thanks

Too bad about Fing; it's been invaluable to me, works great with my iPhone, don't know about Android, though.

by the way just so you have a feel for what is going on. i have been trying to see my cams on the tinycam app on my phone and tablets. and they were dropping out. so i started to look into it and i found that the yousee cam was changing the ip address all the time so that is was started this thread. but now it looks like i may have figured that out by reserving that cams ip address and mac address. now it has not changed for 3 days. so that may be fixed. and you guys here have helps me with that issue. and i thank you. so unless it starts changing again i think i can say this is repaire. now it may be that before i started to have this issue my modem reserved it and i did not notice. but thanks to you guys here now i know where to look in the futcher. now i have to figure out how to set up the new c7000 modem so the cameras stay online. so i have the netgear guys helping me out for that one. again thanks for the help on this issue.

Do not buy crap cameras. You have no idea what it is doing to your local network and other computer is in network.

Try putting the cameras behind a PC that does not have routing capability or DHCP. The cameras do not have direct access to the internet.

I use BI with two NICs, one to the internet and one to the cameras.

I have comcast I disabled the router capability in the Arris TG1682 and only use it as a modem. The use a ASUS router.

That is why you use a POE NVR or BI. You never need you cameras accessible to the internet. you are asking to get hacked. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS.

i downloaded the blue iris program and it is letting me run it in demo mode that may be why i can't get any of my cameras running on it. i ran the wizard and it did not let me change any settings in the pages that it opened up for testing. and when i added 2 cameras 1 from me dvr zmodo unit and 1 ip cam that i can type the ip address and port into a browser and get it to come up did not show either.

according to southern yankee i should be using a poe which i believe he is telling point of entry correction power over ethernet or nvr which i believe is about the same as my zmodo dvr i may be calling it a dvr and this may be a nvr unit but no wifi all hard wires. and bi i'm guessing is the blue iris program. am i correct on any of these terms?

if i have to buy blue iris to get any of the cameras to run then that is out because i'm not spending money on a program that may or not work. i have half dozen programs now on my pc that do not see my cameras. thanks

ok i forn out poe Power over Ethernet my mistake not real familiar with the nvr terms yet as i have not been looking at them to get my ip cameras running with the tinycam app.

thanks

1) Repost in the correct forum here
2) The Blue Iris demo will display cams if properly configured . You won't "have" to buy it to see if it will work, the demo should prove that if, again, you properly configure it and it supports your device(s).
3) For cams on the Zmodo DVR/NVR, you use the DVR/NVR's IP address, select the correct model in the dropdown and select a channel for the cam.

i did that. one thing is i have changed on all my cameras there ports the zmodo that show up in bi shows ports but not the ports i configured. and the same for the ip cams all of them i have change so they do not use the ports that are common to these types of devices. that may be why all the programs i have do not see the cameras with there normal port searching . i have one ip program that will see my cameras besides tinycam becasue tinycam will not run on the pc and if i change the port that program will not find them either.

i asked cctv camera world if they have a system that will work for me. one that will run 8 wired cams and 8 ip or wifi cams and let me use tinycam app for them. i like tiny cam because i use my phone and tablets to view them not my pc. and tiny cam dos a great job on the dvr/nvr system holds those cameras good but has trouble with the ip cams. so maybe if i get either a nvr that can handle 16 cameras or a nve for 8 and just enter 2 nvr systems in tinycam i will have good video with no drop outs. so lets see if that cctv company has something.

i have another nvr but it to is a hard wired system not wifi so maybe i can get some devices that plug into that nvr and are wifi so they will get the signal from my ip cams and let me see them. but i have no clue what to look for. again thanks

ok this may end this thread i will let you know in a week or 2 i'm taking the cameras off line for wifi and going tp just run the wire. have the wire in the mail now. i took on for an experiment and wired it up in the front and it has not dropped yet. so i figure for the time it takes to wire the things to the network then i can just stop looking for a way to keep them running. i just did not want to have to do all that work running wires. but it looks like just have not choice. the hard run is 150 foot ut to the garage and thru one wall in the house. but for all the time i have spent trying now i would have been done with it. i'm going to ask my girls boyfriend how i can put them behind a firewall to keep intruders out there must be a way. thanks

just to update. i have all the cameras now hard wired to the router. for the most part they are now running i would say 90% i can't say 100% as now and then they stipp drop out. i do not have a clue why they would still drop. it may be the wifi signal from the tablet to the modem. so i'm working on those settings now. could be a channel they are using that is not as strong. now i have 1 camera still on wifi and that one drops out like every 5 seconds but parts are in the mail. i will then hook that camera up to hard wire and then all my carers are hard wired.

then if i still have a few issues i will ask if anyone has a remedy for that. it may be just something i have to deal with. but it is now much better. thanks
