If enabled, I'd be curious to see how well it ends up working. When Ken (BI developer) enabled two-way audio on the 1831C-PIR, it wasn't too useful for me because it wasn't full-duplex. To talk to the camera in the BI smartphone app, I had to toggle the MIC button on, say what I was going to say, then toggle the MIC button off. While the MIC button was on, audio coming from the camera was muted, so if the person on the far end said anything I couldn't hear it.

Using the Dahua app to two-way talk to the camera was a better experience for me... I could hear from the camera at the same time I was talking to it (i.e. more of a full-duplex experience).

I don't understand how two-way talk should actually work, so I don't know if BI is trailing in that area, or maybe BI is normal and the Dahua app is doing some magic.
Tuesday evening I sent email to support at blueirissoftware dot com with an offer to use my doorbell and BI application for testing. Only response has been the receipt confirmation from them.

Any change logs / comparisons of firmware differences, fixes, etc?

I have the RCA 5.2.4 build 190124 (using EZviz app, worked better than RCA for me) and have these issues...

1. VERY slow and/or never connects to app to audio/video after doorbell pressed
2. Long delay between bell press and app notification

My Wifi & Internet connection are fast and solid. I have it conected to Blue Iris and there is zero lag local or via Internet

thx for the help!

FIRMWARE UPGRADE TIPS:
⦁ For ONVIF support use LaView's or Nelly's latest firmware
⦁ Firmware can be upgraded with iVMS-4200 or Batch Configuration Tool

LaView Halo ONE (LV-PDB1630-U):
(Jul 29, 2019) Build 190716 (ONVIF Support)

Nelly's (NSC-DB2):
(Nov. 22, 2019) Build 190625 (ONVIF Support)

ADDITIONAL TIPS:
⦁ For RCA owners (ONLY); if you want to remove the RCA Logo, we found a trick in doing so. You will need to install EZVIZ firmware build 190708 first, then turn ON Logo in Batch Config. Tool (Remote Configuration/Image/Video Display), then load LaView's firmware (which will turn Logo OFF)
You mention 190708 firmware but link to 190716, is this interchangeable? I am trying to remove the RCA logo. Thank you

Are you a RCA owner or a EZVIZ owner? What firmware do you presently have?

RCA owner with 190124
Thank you for the help!
So you would follow these steps:

For RCA owners (ONLY); if you want to remove the RCA Logo, we found a trick in doing so. You will need to install EZVIZ firmware build 190708 first, then turn ON Logo in Batch Config. Tool (Remote Configuration/Image/Video Display), then load LaView's firmware (which will turn Logo OFF)

Use the Batch Tool to install the 190708 EZVIZ firmware, turn On Logo, then install LaView's firmware and your RCA Logo will disappear...

No you are right, when I added the EZVIZ Logo removal section I must of unlinked. Thank you I will update the 101

EZVIZ DB1
(Jul 21, 2019) Build 190708
(Nov 28, 2018) Build 190708

We think the I version is International so I would use the July Build...

Yes, I have the RCA logo on mine, but everything else is working great. My dahua NVRs are recording stream and the IMOU app receives the motion alerts. I hope we can find an easy way to turn off the logo. Having EZVIZ on the faceplate but RCA on the screen seems especially annoying.
Hey in case you did not find the 190708 build in the 101, I added a link...

Just download the hikvision tool, Hikvision iVMS-4200.
You can find the link in Google.
In this software, add your doorbell and under configuration there's a menu for installing new firmware. Shouldn't be too difficult.

In the Batch Configuration Tool, beneath the Operation column, click on the second icon, 'Upgrade'. Supply the name of the firmware file.

So it is important to know what firmware you presently have before upgrading. I would be sure and upgrade to 190708 in the EZVIZ App before loading any other firmware.

For EZVIZ owners (ONLY); if you plan to install/upgrade your firmware to LaView's firmware you NEED to be sure and follow these steps: First Check your firmware in your App under Settings. If you have build 190304 DO NOT install LaView's firmware (If you do you will end up with a RCA Logo). If have the 190304 build you will NEED to update your firmware to EZVIZ build 190708 first. Next; with the 190708 build installed/confirmed go to Batch Config. Tool (Remote Configuration/Image/Video Display) check to see if the Logo is checked ON, if so, you will need to uncheck it Off before installing/upgrading to LaView's firmware.
