I wouldn’t be surprised if they join the bandwagon and firmware lock all their home security products to only work with own brands like Ring products.

For a while, their cameras only worked with their NVR software. Pretty sure they all support RTSP now though.

It took me 30 minutes to swap from the DB2 to the Unifi G4. I took a before and after picture of the viewing angle.

Left is G4, right is DB2

UVC G4 Doorbell - 4-20-2020, 11.02.51am.jpg

DB2 had a 3-4 second delay before door chime would go off, with the G4 it's instant.
DB2 had a 4-6 second notification delay, G4 has a 2-3 second delay.
We have 14 Unifi cams at the house so it made sense to have the G4 doorbell as well.
G4 supports RTSP as well.

I don't have one yet, I've asked the guy that has one in the EZVIZ/RCA DB1/2 Thread to come here and talk. I also asked him that exact question in that thread before seeing this one!

good, and this doorbell is a full protect device. but I think you need a protect DVR hardware or software running to use this camera with the app, I have a Protect Docker running on unRAID (no cams yet)

This doorbell I assume uses RTSP like the cams also. But I hope they turn on VoIP Video SIP support. or even UniFi Talk (Their VoIP System) support.

I have their UDMP running Protect. I do not believe they allow Protect to be run on Docker, I think you are thinking of their old Unifi Video system (that is not compatible) with Protect or this camera. But you need a piece of hardware of theirs to run Protect.

Yes iOS and Android
Does it have SIP support as a VoIP Video Phone.
Does it support Alexa or Google Assist.
I was told UniFi has a Apple TV app, is it for viewing UniFi cams, if so can you get 2 way with it somehow, maybe bluetooth camera.

You can go into the webgui for the cam and switch to standalone mode to see if it has SIP support.

if you have a dream machine pro, does the doorbell support UniFi Talk

I don't know about SIP
I haven't tried Alexa or Google assistant (don't use either of those)
Unifi does have an Apple TV app, although I use the CCTV Viewer app on our AppleTV using RTSP for more streaming functionality and use the Unifi app for looking at motion events, scrubbing.
I haven't tried Unifi Talk with the doorbell, I can give it a try.

What does it allow you to do with the built in display?
