When you connected to the AP softap_XXXXX, did you use softap_authcode as pw? If so, after you connect via batch config, you change the SSID, and then you don't have to do anything else. You start the wizard on the mobile app and it works like a brand new cam. The problem is only the SSID after the reset. Noticed Batch config tool and the other hik app has more options but they get hidden after a few seconds. Also noticed upnp and multicast settings are different which may explain why google cast or Alexa support work on day Nellys firmware.ipcamtalk.com

Me too...I see a white window in Image Settings no live view. But when i click in de batch config tool on live view I can see the stream. Could be that a reset will fix this. But it is not a big problem at the moment.
The FACTORY RESET is a must when you change to another vendor's firmware. It should be put in 101 @David L.

I'm all for a discord or telegram group but I feel if we break away from this forum then people will lose the valuable info discussed on the chat client. This forum gives the same benefits as a telegram or discord with search feature and everything.
I added a note to my post to describe the purpose of that group. And I firmly disagree with you on your last statement: a forum and a chat tool like telegram are two very different things, that have very different purposes. I will always use this forum as the main source of information, but sometimes discussions here with some users look more like personal chats, and other times we like to talk about other technologies or sw that would be considered totally out-of-topic.

I used XBMC since the first versions, then Kodi. But in the end, last year I switched to Plex, I like the centralized architecture. Kodi's architecture is awful and difficult to maintain (artwork, thumbnails, etc.). Plex is really incredible, zero maintenance and I just setup a new client, open it, and don't have to configure anything. I used Plex Server on my Synology, but it was a pain, CPU was not good enough, I switched to Nvidia Pro 2019 in my living room, that acts both as PMS and client, and in other rooms I use Nvidia Shield 2019, pure client.
You can use Kodi as a Plex client. I think Kodi has a Plex plugin
