Any ideas why the following is happening? Let me provide an overview first........

I've owned a NVR5208-8P-4KS2E with all 8 ports occupied with Dahua cams. I just received (1) IPC-B5442E-Z4E, (1) IPC-54442E-ZE, (2) IPC-T5442TM-AS, and (1) NVR5218-16P-4KS2E from Andy.....the additional cams and 5218 will be replacing the 5208 this weekend.

I wanted to test out the new cams this morning so what I did was disconnect port 7 cam from the NVR5208 and connected the Z4E in its place. It connected, clicked the blue icon, signed into the camera, unchecked P2P, unchecked auto updates, confirmed its working, then signed out. Next, disconnected the Z4E and connected the ZE in its place. It connected, clicked the blue icon, but no sign in page appeared. Retried, but no sign in page. Signed out of the webservice, signed back into the webservice, but no sign in page. Next, disconnected the ZE and connected one of the T5442TM-AS in its place. It connected, clicked the blue icon, signed into the camera, unchecked P2P, unchecked auto updates, confirmed its working, then signed out. Just for curiosity, I clicked on the blue icon for port 1, sign in page appeared. Clicked Port 2, sign in page appeared. Clicked Port 3, but no sign in page appeared. So I disconnected the T5442TM-AS and RE-connected the ZE. It connected, clicked the blue icon, sign in page appeared this time, unchecked P2P, unchecked auto updated, confirmed its working, then signed out. For test purposes, signed out of the webservice, signed back into the webservice, clicked on Port 3 blue icon and the sign in page now appears, BUT when I click on port 1 its sign in page doesn't appear, but if you recall from above, port 1 sign in page initially appeared.

Any ideas whats going on? Maybe this will all work itself out once I connect all the cams to the new NVR5216.blue expl.jpgsign in.jpgblank.jpg

There are some models that still have issues with certain browsers. Try IE or pale moon, or Firefox

Thanks, bigredfish - Do you have a personal preference that seems to play well with Dahua....i.e., IE, Pale Moon, Firefox?

What is a little odd is that my current setup of a NVR-5208 with a combination of 5442E-ZE and T5442TM-AS I've had no sign in issues at all and I've signed into them a lot over this past year. It's only AFTER I connected the 5442E-Z4E that I noticed this sign in issue. So its either I got lucky this past year OR browser issue OR the new Z4E/T5442TM-AS triggered something. I'll start with the browser resolution.

One more thing, the Z4E within its settings reads, "Algorithm failed, please import license". I did a search and found something from Andy's forum titled, "Important!!IVS failed and Triangle warnning issue Solutions for 4MP AI models".
1) Can you confirm that Andy's post would apply to my issue? I've included a pic of my screen
2) What would happen if I didn't fix the issue?
3) Is it easy enough to fix? the forum discusses the Chinese tool and pressing buttons that are in Chinese language.....hopefully I don't get confused once I'm in the screens

1-yes
2-it's a security risk
3-Yes, you will need to follow Andys instructions.
Check with Andy, there may be different solutions now.

I find internet explorer the browser of choice for this. Not edge, but rather internet explorer. Hope you find the issue. Generally speaking I have found it's not a great idea to test things the way you did, swapping out different cameras in the same port of an nvr. Start over. Hook up the new nvr, plug each camera into it in the order you'd like them and proceed with your new setup. I have a ton of those 2' ethernet cords and I use them to get the cameras up and running before mounting them outdoors. I label the cables and the matching camera one by one until all is done. I'm old school that way and actually with ip cameras being so finicky about addressing to the nvr sometimes, I think it's worth it. There's no surprises during the real install this way.

Good luck.

Frustrated but hopeful. :)
Received the .rar file from Andy regarding the red triangle issue. He included picture instructions but I must be missing something. (pic 1, 2 and 3),
Opened up the config tool software and 0 devices found. I thought the software would automatically populate my IP cameras on the page (pic 4),
Then clicked on the blue circle search button and nothing happened,
Then clicked on "search setting" and a smaller window appeared (like the one in Andy's instructions). There already was a p/w, hit ok, but nothing. I then put my p/w, hit ok, but nothing (pic 5)

Please advise.

Yeah it has to find the camera first . They’re behind the NVR on its 10.1.1.x network so it can’t see em

You could plug a laptop into one of the NVR PoE ports which will assign it an address on that net and then it should find them...

So my next step WILL be to plug a laptop into one of the NVR POE ports, then the Config Tool hopefully finds them.

Do I need to install the Config Tool on the laptop and complete Andy's instructions using the laptop OR is plugging the laptop into the port just a way for the IP cams to appear?
When I unplug the laptop after the process is hopefully completed, will there be an IP issue when I plug the IP cam back into its port?

Yes

No. The port owns the IP in this case, it will give it to the laptop as well as the camera when you plug it back in.

This might help as well

I did the following today per the above in hopes to send Andy the file he needs so I can resolve the red triangle:
-Installed on a laptop the .rar file (Config Tool in English) Andy sent me that addresses the red triangle issue for a new B5442E-Z4E
-Connected the laptop to port 8 of my NVR5208. Unlike my exisiting connected cams, I noticed the laptop was given a port 37777 and stayed a red dot (pic 9)
-Started up the Config Tool and no devices found even after clicking "Search" a few times (pic 10)
-So I clicked on "search setting" and decided to tick "other segment search" (pic 11 & 12)
-Doing that it apparently found my NVR but not my ip cams

Any suggestions.

hmmm...

Do you have the router or a switch close by where you can plug the camera into your 192.168.1.x network?

The only router is my cable company's router. I don't have a switch. Are you suggesting I plug the IP camera directly to that router and see if the Config Tool "sees it"? If so, will the router assign the cam an ip address but when I plug the cam back into the NVR is it possible there might be a ip address conflict?

The fast way is to export the file is using a 12v 2a or a poe swtich to power the camera directly, and connect the camera to the computer directly. If your computer there is no RJ45 port, then connect the camera to the router which the pc also connect to

Yes, and Andy’s last sentence above says the same thing.

Should not be any conflict when you plug back into the NVR.

Make sure the camera itself is set to dhcp before you start the above. It will get a 192 address from the router and a 10. Address from the NVR

Something has changed, Im guessing FW or some security setting no longer allows this?

I just tried that in a newish 4116 NVR I use for testing and cant find the 10.1.1.x network devices, nor does my original method (which is effectively the same but leaving the laptop in DHCP mode)

I CAN do this by simply plugging my laptop into a PoE port on the NVR on another older (circa 2016) 4208 NVR which has not been updated FW for years. Just did again this morning to verify. Something has changed

1- plugged into PoE port, left laptop in DHCP- it assigned it 10.1.1.129. - Attempted to reach camera known to be at 10.1.1.128, no workie
Clipboard01.jpg Clipboard02.jpg Clipboard03.jpg

Changed Laptop to static 10.1.1.180 (your method) - still no workie and in neither case can the laptop find devices on the 10.1.1.x network..
Clipboard04.jpg Clipboard05.jpg Clipboard06.jpg

We KNOW that by plugging the camera into his 192 network via his router or switch WILL work. so probably easiest option as Andys post said and my follow up
