Unfortunately, I had to ship 4-5 of these back. The injector wasn't putting enough juice out for the ir. Real dim! I do have 2 that do pump out enough for the ir on my Hikvision 2032's. Make sure you test them!

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001PS9E5I/ref=nosim/ipctk-20
ive only used the injectors on 2423 cubes.. and only two...so i dont know ....According to the spec for this camera, it maxes at 18w and therefore it should be rated as poe+ ...but it seems its working fine for most using poe switches.

Yep, I was one of the unlucky ones that bought a bunch and they must of had a bad batch. Like I say I am using 2 of them with no issues!

I actually prefer power packs. My cams are all close enough to an outlet. If there not then the TP Links work.

I posted power measurements, I couldn't achieve more then 11W on these.

I had sort of a strange problem with my Huisun tonight. The IR's didn't turn on when it got dark. I have a z-wave appliance module attached to the PoE switch in the garage, so I was able to power off all the garage cameras using my VeraLite controller. I waited a minute and powered the PoE switch back on and now the IR's are working again.

At first I thought that maybe the 8-port TP-Link 802.3af switch wasn't supplying enough power, but tonight is the first time that's happened. It seems to be fine after shutting down the power and powering it up again.

It looks like the camera can take up to 18W per spec. The TP-Link TL-PoE150S max power output is "15.4W (Max. 48VDC)". So it may not have enough juice.

I found this one which may work.

http://www.amazon.com/iCreatin-Injector-Adapter-100Mbps-Compliant/dp/B00NRG4AMS

It can do 48V 19W passive PoE Output. It should have enough juice for the camera.
yup i agree with you, looks like the cam not have enough power
but i'm using tp-link poe like Larabear also, powering 2 hik cube and 2 huisun bullet never complain so far, but i'm set huisun IR Near and Far just on level 2 since i'm plug the cam on small room level 2 quite enough

I have to agree, it's value and features sure out way's and niggles you have.

If you want an all sing all dancing camera pay the extra, and ask Monica for the Hikvision module inside and pay the extra the option is there.
Has any of you tested this optional embedded hikvision module?
By the way, I didn't find on Monica's site

After reviewing video from my other cameras on the garage, it appears that the Huisun IR's were working, although I didn't go outside to check it. As I was panning the Huisun around, the other cameras were picking up the light from the Huisun IR's.

I'm now thinking that the IR cut filter might have been stuck. After powering the camera off and then back on, it's been working fine since. Will see what transpires tonight. :)

Hey Larebear, anything unusual about the weather when that happened? What was the outside temperature?

Is it first time it happened?

Yeah, that's the first time. Might have had something to do with the major power outage we had out here. Guess I should put the PoE switch on a good surge protector.

The camera is working fine today. I wish there was a day/night config in the firmware to change the shutter speed to 1/250 at night for reading license plates and then back to Auto during the day.

Good idea, reminded me as well. I never added surge protector for mine.

Anyone know if there's a way to remove the PTZ position overlay when PTZ is being used?

TIA!

Thanks korakora! I am familiar with the OSD menu, but didn't realise the option was there. :)

I got my mini PTZ last friday. No other issues so far except that the camera lose axles 0-points when restart. The camera actually remembers the last position but because of the 0-points are incorrect, then the camera goes to the wrong position actually:

1.png 2.png

This does not mean that the camera would be unusable because I can manually set the 0-points in the following way:

After reboot the camera needs to manually tilt up or down against the limiter to get the correct tilt-range. Then tilting down and pressing pan left or right until lens head hit to the bracket. Must keep pressing until display shows 0- or 250-deg. Now the the pan-range is correct. Left or right depends of what was the position before restart and what is the actually position after restart.
