Mini PTZ camera impressions! 2015 PTZ camera of the year? AVOID THIS CAMERA

Maybe a config. setting issue. Went to the "Edit IP Camera:

IP cam # D1
Adding Method Manual
IP address 10.10.xxx.xxx
Protocol Hikvision
Manage Port 8000
Channel Port 1
User xxxxxxx
Admin Password xxxxxxx

Does that look right?

Try to post a screen shot later if needed.

I guess for your NVR you do need to configure PTZ

Read section 4.1

Unfortunately, there is no "PTZ" menu option listed on my nvr.
Strange, in the manual it's supported. Isn't that the same model?

Mine is a DS-7108N-SN/P. The set up screens in the manual you sent look a little different, probably just a newer version of firmware.

My camera arrived today. But it doesn't come with a POE injector. I ordered the $149 version that says POE. Am I mistaken? Now I need to get an injector. Any recommendation? Do I need one that provides 12V? I see other people on this thread mentioned 48V and 24V both work over POE. Is this correct? Thanks.

No camera comes with a poe injector...poe means that the camera will accept POE...you want a standard 802.3af injector or switch.

Unfortunately, I had to ship 4-5 of these back. The injector wasn't putting enough juice out for the ir. Real dim! I do have 2 that do pump out enough for the ir on my Hikvision 2032's. Make sure you test them!

Hum, any recommendation for an injector that puts out enough juce for the IR? I only have one camera now so a single would be enough for now while I test out the camera before I commit to buy more.

Yeah, those tp link work. Just make sure the ir is bright. Trust me you know when you get a junk one! Remember amazon is awesome about returns!

The TP-Links are what i'm going to be using on my huisun ptz as well! That is if it ever gets here! LOL!
