@klasipca, thinking about purchasing a Longse LBL60S500 - can these IMX178 + Hi3516A units be ordered with different lens? I see the sheet states 5MP HD 3.6mm Board Lens... can that be changed to 12mm? I have a Hik DS-2CD2632 that needs replacing, and the location covers a long driveway (160Ft, hence the need for a 60M IR unit)
I doubt they can do 12mm for this cam... I am attaching their catalog and available options. They have LIF80S500 with 12mm lens and 80IR rating

Thanks - been combing thru the Longse catalog trying to find something competitive to the Hikvision DS-2CD2T42WD-I5 with 12mm. Drawing blanks.

Actually, from the looks of it, they don't have option with 12mm lens for s500 series cams. Alternatively, check out Huisun Mini PTZ v2 it has IR rating and will cover all the range you need. It's not as good without IR at night though.

Send email to amanda@longse.com. She has been very helplful.

Got my Longsees500 today. Initial thoughts are it's well constructed, great image quality and easy to setup in milestone.
Upgraded the firmware but yet to really take a look at the image.

Received the Longsee LIRDCS500 and downloaded OCX and logged in with IE. Now I am trying to connect to HIKVISION DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR with ONVIF protocol and get "network not available". RSTP and HTTP ports are both set to 80. Do I need to change 192.168.1.168 ip address? I know there is a simple solution, and would really appreciate any help.

@lovedgor you can't have both the RSTP and HTTP on 80 without conflicts. Change the RTSP port to something different and try again.

There is no rtsp port listed in web UI, so I am not sure how you changed it. It defaults to 554 but in nvr you simply set your http port. ONVIF profile uses rtsp port automatically.

I was confused with the instructions... "in the IPCSearch tool, modify IP settings" ??? I left the IP at 192.168.1.168 and the ports at 80 and then tried to manually install camera in NVR with the onvif protocol, but not successful. Do I need to change to different port, or modify IP address? Thanks

IP address shouldn't matter as long as in the same subnet. Try changing port, I had mine changed, but I will try with default 80 as well and let you know

The seller finally responded to my problem, they told me to open it up and refocus it... Not what I was expecting, not sure if i will order anymore. Anyways, for those who are using hikvision nvr's, does your virtual server work? Mine works for my hikvision cameras but when I try to connect to the longse it won't connect.

In my experience it can happen with any cam so you just happen to draw a short stick. Have you finalized the purchase or you can still dispute it? Here is what I would do and done before, I would adjust the lens myself and dispute partial amount for the hassle. It worked every time for me.

As far as virtual server goes, I have my Hikvision 7608 NVR setup differently where NVR and cams are on the same subnet, so I didn't even try virtual server before.

Update: cracked it open, it's right hand threaded so just unscrew the halves. They where pretty tight but I managed to do it without strap wrenches. Had to pull all the guts out to reach the lens to focus it. The set screw was pretty tight and the lens had to be turned quite a bit so I don't think it shifted in shipping, more likely not set properly from the factory. Picture looks great now, very impressed with the low light picture. Only problem now is I can't get into the interface, I can set it from the nvr but not the actual camera itself. I get stuck at the screen where it tells you to download and install IPCOCX. I updated to the latest firmware but same problem. Hope I didn't smoke something while I was inside or tear a cable. Bad luck follows me with camera's ordered from china.

Thank you for update, it's good to know that focus can be easily adjusted. Were you able to get in interface before taking it apart?

No, couldn't get in with the virtual server. Tried without the nvr and now just stuck on the download screen, I install it and the screen doesn't go away. Tried IE, Chrome and Firefox. Still works but can't do the fine adjustments, just from the nvr. I'll see if I can get some money back or work a deal on another one. What would be a good amount to ask for?

I am a bit confused on the issue. Are you able to access camera Web UI directly (when not connected to NVR) ? If yes then the issue related to NVR is compatability with virtual host.

Web UI is not accessible either way. When connected to the nvr virtual host doesn't work, just error. When not hooked up to the nvr, just directly it gets me to the login screen where it tells you to download the plugin. Even if you install the plugin it just tells you to download the plugin again, the actual screen where you enter the credentials never shows up.

Perhaps, it's activex or something blocking it. It doesn't sound like it's a hardware issue. Are you using Windows 10 and IE Edge browser? Have you tried IE 11? I know that at work antivirus blocks this plugin for me.

is there someone that maybe can try to get this camera in his blueiris system working ?

this is my cam, opened every port to the camera (DMZ)
Tried everything but can't get any working result, even tried different Blueiris versions.

Even with vlc i can't get a working stream on both computer :S

it should be rtsp://julianahof.duckdns.org:80/0

this is the ip : julianahof.duckdns.org
username: cam
password: cam

Hope someone can get it working and knows what i am doing wrong, haven't got much trouble with other cams to get them to work.

@fenderman might help. He has this cam and BI.

Actually, try changing default IP port to something else. It appears using port 80 might not work as it was reported by another user.
