I previously had the error in my log about the check security. Read I needed to update
I’ve updated to version 5.7.3.0. Still no push notifications on two iOS devices in which they worked previously.

looking for guidance on my next step.

thank you

Within the Global Blue Iris Settings goto User and edit the user account that you log into Blue Iris with from your phone.. then make sure the Push Notifications for the proper profiles are active there...

Once that is done then goto Mobile Devices tab in the Global Settings and make sure that the Push is checked for the Device/DeviceID, also make sure within your iPhone Settings that you have Notifications enabled for your phone.

If you have no joy after confirming all the above suggestions, then try this…

1. Delete the device from the ‘Mobile devices’ tab.
2. Log back into Blue Iris from the device
The device will reappear on the ‘Mobile devices’ tab.

These steps have restored my devices on several occasions.

This started happening to me as well. In the past, I have tried the removing the smartphones and readded them and that has worked in the past. This time, I can't get it to work.
None of my phones are getting a notifications at all. Every time there's a motion alert and I open the app, I see the alert counter there along with a status counter alert as well.

Is this normal for it to just stop working on its own?
I notice I have to keep doing this every few weeks, but today it's completely dead and I can't get it to work.

Anything else I can try?
Thanks.

Yeah recently just happened to me, it just stopped working out of all sudden. It has been stop working for few days, even though I still can see all the alert counters once the app is opened.

Please help.

Are you running a version that has the recently updated iOS push certificates?

This is the same way with mine.

My BI version is 5.8.7.11. Not sure if that is the version you are referring to.

I have been having this issue lately as well, usually on BI update

iphone

Only solution

delete devices from BI

delete app on phones

re-install app on phones
configure app
make sure they show in BI and with push

reboot phone
enable notifications for Bi on phone

works again, but what a pain

Stopped working again

Tried everything to get them going again, no luck

Nothing has changed on my end

I'm having the exact same issue, running BI 5.9.3.4 with no recent changes. Tried the uninstall/reinstall for both my BI server and iOS mobile device but am getting the same error (Push: failed XXXXXX to iPhone; check security exemptions and service login). I've verified my firewall and endpoint protection are not blocking anything.

I fixed my issue by uninstalling Bitdefender, something about the new update borks push

Yes I had an open ticket with Bitdefender for this issue for the past 3-4 weeks. They kept promising a fix. I just uninstalled it and they are granting me a partial refund on my subscription. I guess they won't be fixing it after all.

I've just had push notifications stop working on the blue iris app to both my mobile (both android) and the wifes today. Nothing has changed configuration wise, I've deleted the server from the blue iris app on my phone, removed it from Mobiles on the Blue Iris server and re-added it via the app but nothing seems to make a difference. I've not had any Windows updates installed in the last few days either.

Version of Blue Iris is 5.8.2.5

For those that have had the issue when it just stopped working, were you able to find a resolution? I should also mention that email notifications work without issue.

My notifications started slowly going away a few days ago, then totally stopped yesterday. I am using 2 android devices. Have tried everything I could think including some from "out in left field" thoughts. Unable to figure it out. I see, and can run the triggers, from locally and remotely on the devices. They were working for "months" before this happened. I'm on the latest update in blue iris and it's a windows 11 dedicated computer. Have not tried reinstalling software from scratch, meaning the Blue Iris software on PC. I did try totally disabling firewall and antivirus, restarting router, but no joy with anything.

Interesting are you using ZeroTier as well? I'm at a loss as to why it just stopped for me, next thing for me is maybe restore my BlueIris VM from a backup a few days ago as nothing has really changed.

I have been using tailscale for a long time. But it isn't necessary at home as the log in is direct. I have a samsung tablet that doesn't have cell capabilities, wifi only. Not using a VM. Totally baffled on this one. Been at it for many hours in many different ways, including BI support. Ken said he would check my configuration, waiting for him to get back. It seems odd that it would work so long then just quit.

Mine also, not sure when they quit. Android and the latest ver. of BI, BTW no Bitdefender or anything like that just VM machine that can reach the internet. Updated today to 5.9.5.4
