Same thing with me this morning. I run Bitdefender and turned off antivirus module and BI worked fine. So I added an exception to Bitdefender and everything is back to normal. First thing to do is check your antivirus protection before you go messing with the registry.

Just installed this cam to my BI family. Everything working except any PTZ, Presets or zoom functions. I can use camera in my browser just fine. Just BI not working. In the cam setup, it says it uses DH-SD1 protocol. It can be switched to DH-SD3. Any ideas please?

So the solution is to leave my unattended PC logged in and open in my house and then BI will connect. kind of defeats the purpose of running BI as a service don't you think?

I'm on a Win 7 machine.

My PC reboots every 24 hrs. BI runs as a service. When I try to connect from WAN via the BI app, not connecting. I have to actually remote into my PC and log in before BI kicks off and accepts wan connections. What is the fix to this? I should not have to log into my PC to access BI server.

I did this and BI is stable in safe mode. 24hrs-no crash. I rebooted in normal mode and BI continues to run stable. I have no idea why, but it corrected itself!

I've had this issue for the past several weeks. I found that the BI.exe process was crashing. I would just restart the process and BI would work again for a few hours. But nothing made it stable again. Finally I restarted in safe mode and ran BI. It was stable all day and did not crash. So now...

I'm sorry but maybe you have a different version of BI than me, I have v4.5.02 x 64. Under Camera Properties>Video there is no such setting named receive buffer.
