Just had a thought... I've got some PoE splitters somewhere... Can I use them inversely!? I'd need to source or make up some RJ45 couplers and a 2.1mm barrel Jack coupler, but can I use them to split the power from the NVR but connect the data to the laptop. NVR PoE ----- Splitter +-- Power...

I'll probably leave them then. They're 3m up a wall. As stated in my other post, I've managed to sort out the live view issue by changing the protocol. But I have to change it back when I'm finished, otherwise it hangs the NVR interface

I'm afraid I don't have differing aspect ratios, but i don't think it's possible. The web interfaces are pretty limited.
