Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

I could have lived with that had I known about it. That Dahua bracket cost me 3 times what you paid shipped from AE

And they charge a pretty penny too for what is essentially some folded sheet metal with holes drilled and tapped. If the location wasn't such a pain to get to I'd have looked more into making up a bracket.

Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

Alright some feedback. I've updated my cam to the following. I've not had a chance to look during the day but I have to say images are sharper depending on what I'm looking at at night. I've not had a chance to hit that led init button yet. I'll post some more pics tomorrow for comparison...

    First tower. Solar Dahua.

Nice project. Sure gives a greater FOV than mounted on a corner of a house. :)

Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

Thanks for the tip, I don't have a Lens init button there. During the day it's not out of focus and at night it's not always out of focus. What firmware version have you got on yours?

    bomb recorded with dahua

As much as I also like Denzel Washington, the movie doesn't do the book justice by a long way.

Floodlight position with Hikvision EXIR turret dome

I'll chime in and suggest 4000 - 4500k as well. I've got 5000k LED floodlights back and front and when they're on it does give it the football field at night look which some could consider to be a tad stark.

Just an update. This issue has been resolved by updating to the latest version of GDMSS lite v3.43.00.

Controlling a SD59230S-HN PTZ From Smartphone

@nayr as he has the 12x of the same cam but anyone else feel free to chime in. I can't for the life of me pan tilt or zoom my new PTZ using GDMSS lite or GDMSS HD lite from my smartphone. Do you think you might know what I'm doing wrong? I'm logging into the cam using a standard user account...

Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

That's just a Dahua standard corner mount, model PFA151. Unsure if it will fit a Hik but no reason you couldn't drill out and tap new holes, etc.

Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

No pics of the wiring as it's just an CAT6 Ethernet cable with a RJ45 plug connected to the cameras keystone and wrapped in coax seal and the power wires connected to a double insulated figure 8. If you're still keen to see inside Mr Vault I'll take a pic later this week when I don't get home...

Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

In the zoomed out pic? I might have taken a snapshot before I let it settle, I think it's still set to semi-auto focus. I'll post another pic tomorrow or something after a bit of a play. Yes I noticed the plastic after I took the pics so removed it before I took the ladder down.

Finally got my my Dahua PTZ mounted

I've been recovering from a wrist injury for months which is why I hadn't gotten this one up yet. A couple of weeks ago I got a kick in the butt from the other half about getting some things sorted like finishing the house alarm before we go on holidays soon. It was a very unfortunate time to...
