Hi guys. Hoping for a little assistance. I purchased the above mentioned NVR and am having a heck of a time getting it configured properly. I'm connecting 8 Sercomm 4551 IP Cams to it. The cameras are not ONVIF compliant, but they do however have the ability to stream using the RTSP protocol. I...
Funny that you posted today of all days. I actually was just thinking that I needed to work my way out to this site to install a new viewing station. Not sure exactly when, but sometime in the next week or so I’ll be headed there. I’ll be logging into everything while I’m there to change...
No idea. It was an install for a customer. Now it’s on a 16’ pole overlooking a truck stop. Been awhile. It was definitely a firmware issue though. It didn’t self update, I had to manually upload the file to the camera.
You need to login to the camera directly using your browser (ie works best) to its web interface. It’ll been awhile so this is all from memory, but it’s a sub tab in one of the menus. Probably the “accounts” menu. I actually meant to post an update to this thread but things have been pretty...
Wow. I can’t believe I missed this thread while deciding on a camera. The issues described in the thread are identical to what I’m experiencing. Seems as only Andy can get me sorted out with this. Let’s hope he’s as good as this forum makes him out to be. Thanks for the knowledge. Much appreciated.
Ok, so I'm hoping someone can give me a hand as I'm having difficulties.
CAM:

Issue:
Camera randomly becomes unresponsive only to come back online just as randomly. Can be pinged but cannot access cameras login page.
Background:
I currently have two of these cameras. Both have...
I doubt anyone is reading this old thread, but I did manage to get it working. Seems as if the camera itself has two completely separate sets of user accounts. The standard “admin” account which is used to login to the camera via the web interface, and a completely different set of Onvif...
Yes the user has permissions. That was my initial thought as well. No dice. I even created a fresh new account to test, got nothing.
Just tried again using Dahua New as the selected camera, nope. I'm sure it's a minor configuration issue but I just don't know what.
Thanks for the suggestions...
Gentle, I’m hoping someone can give me a hand or at least point me in the right direction. I bought a couple SD49225T-HN from Andy at Empire. The cameras are amazing. They are perfect for their intended purpose. I have one mounted on a 16’ tall pole overlooking a service busy truck stop. I have...
I thought about using a Ubiquiti NanoStation but all that I've read says to stay away from wi-fi. That would solve the digging of the trench, but the mounting of the camera still remains. I think I'm just going to bury a pole and mount it to the top.
Apologies for not being a bit more clear. The site has 15 other cameras. 8 which are outside and the remainder inside. Even the walk in cooler has one. Each register has it's own as well. The PTZ is the final camera left to be installed. The idea was to cover the other half of the property (the...
Gentleman, I'm in need of your expertise and wisdom. I've spent hours upon hours reading up on all things related to cameras. However I'm stuck on this one. I'm doing a camera install for a client who owns a gas station/truck stop. The client is determined to have a PTZ camera to cover the large...
