Agree but Mac doesn't allow plugin installation. The OP was able to get to this page which would allow to change the default gateway. That seems to be the key. Who knows but I appreciate you guys trying to help.

Okay, I see a difference. When I clock on the IE icon I get the logon page and then the link to install plugins (which leads to nowhere) then I click on Settings to get to where the OP is and there's a difference. The biggest diff is that the default gateway is greyed out.
