Hey guys,
Looking for recommendations.
My mother has moved into a new place, and she wants to get a CCTV system.
Ideally she wants something that is plug n play, so an NVR solution would be nice.
As far as the cams go, she wants a couple that are wide angle with a built in floodlight, and a few which have a narrower field of view (around 90 degrees).
4K preferably. She also wants a doorbell cam, however this doesn't need to be 4K, so long as it's got two way audio and great night performance. All cams need to have vehicle and person detection (number plate detection not necessary). It would be a bonus if they also had pet detection (cat, dog), although not sure if this is something that the NVR could possibly handle if the cameras themselves cannot?
NVR needs to have all the standard functions, such as remote management, app support and notifications for alerts, as well as upgradable storage. Google Home integration would be a bonus.
The biggest uncertainty for me is the doorbell cam. I don't have any experience with these outside of the big box brands which require a subscription, and she wants to stay away from those.
As she's getting an NVR, would the doorbell cam need to be the same brand in order to work with it (including the AI features)?
What models of cams/NVRs/doorbells would you recommend? Links to products/stores would be appreciated!
