New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Still no joy... :( Yes... the problem occurs when connected to my NVR. The lag does not present itself when connected to my network router via a POE injector. Once connected to the NVR the lag starts to accumulate over time. In the NVR settings I've changed the bitrate and FPS from ideal...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Sounds like you are on top of your issue. I would say this is the right Thread, your post will help others and we know this is a growing Thread due to the popularity of the ReoLink DB but IMO one Thread is better than searching many. So I will throw my 2 cents in. If you haven't already, I...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I was debating starting a new thread for the Wifi version but I read this whole thread (it is REALLY long) and it seems as though this has become a place for both. For reference here is my DB info: ModelReolink Video Doorbell WiFi Build No.build 22102806 Hardware No.DB_566128M5MP_W Config...

    Camera doesn't record after auto-reboot

I turned on the "Auto Reboot" option in my camera settings yesterday, thinking it might be a good idea to let the camera reboot once a week to prevent unnoticed camera hang-ups. However, I noticed that when the camera comes back up after the reboot, it does not automatically continue recording...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

SETTING UP REOLINK DOORBELL FOR FIRST TIME GOAL: Initial Setup of ReoLink Doorbell (DB) with Zero Internet Access (This works on both the POE and WiFi versions) Always Bench Test before Install In order to initially communicate with the ReoLink DB you will need to assign an IP via a DHCP...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Doorbell went offline in BI again this morning at 6:30AM. I am doing a factory reset this time (like recommended by Reolink) to see if these random drop-outs of the RTSP feed keep happening. Once again, the app and directly logging into the camera showed it was still online fine, but the RTSP...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Since I have both POE and WiFi running, I will be upgrading firmware on both soon, just waiting for others and their reports. I am going to try RTSP on my POE again and see if I have any dropped Signals. The WiFi version was definilty giving me problems with RTSP to BI.

    NVR -vs_ Blue Iris

There are tons of threads already discussing this.. NVR versus Blue Iris Here are a few select ones: NVR vs BlueIris. Which NVR for Dahua cams or build NVR? Power consumption? So I'm likely getting Dahua cameras. If I was to use a NVR, how much of a power difference is that over blue Iris...

    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

Hello, good afternoon! I'm Roberto, from Valencia. This is my first comment on the forum, as I have registered because I see that there is a lot of interesting content about Hikvision cameras. Thanks for that. Here you have commented many about the problem of firmware updates of Chinese...

New to cameras, looking for make/model recommendations and a few other questions

The biggest issue is that domes are not recommended outside unless it is well protected from the elements. The big issue is that the domes will hold onto water droplets much longer than a turret or bullet and thus any dirt on it can then become problematic. And during a rain event with IR, the...

    I didn't get the memo. H.264+ or any "+" is...undesirable? Also, AI codec...ewww.

then to play it safe....h264 for me. dang it... 20+ cameras to change.....

    I didn't get the memo. H.264+ or any "+" is...undesirable? Also, AI codec...ewww.

Some would get the green screen. Some would have bad pixelation during motion. Some had jittery or bad playback. Some had skipped frames. Some had iframes so slow that they missed motion. As you know the KEY in BI camera status page is a ratio of the FPS to iframes, so a KEY of 1 means the...

    AI CAMERAS

This is a great writeup and the scaring thing is I kind of understand what you’re saying.

    AI CAMERAS

Just keep in mind that the cheap cameras play with the image at night to favor a bright static image over everything else, so if you are hoping to ID perps, it will be problematic. Watching a pet probably ok. But since you are talking about using BI AI, you need to know the full picture as it...

Not able to get Reolink E1 Pro camera to work with BI

Yep send it back lol. It is well documented the troubles with Reolink and BI, and that doesn't even include the problems with reolink and trouble at night. Here is one such thread with a reply from Reolink to someone that it won't work...

My DIY Alternative to Reolink's 180 Degree Camera

What you say does not surprise me in the least. Reolink does some fun stuff with cameras be their approach seems to be, "Make it work any way we can.", and, "Keep it Reolink only." Just this morning I am playing with iSpy on my i7 PC and whilst I only have 6 cameras up (the other are still...

My DIY Alternative to Reolink's 180 Degree Camera

You do need to be aware that there can be problems between Reolink cameras and Blue Iris due to the way Reolink plays with frame, iframe and bit rates and that Reolink doesn't adhere to many standards that can cause problems. I'm not saying that they won't work but am saying that some are...

    I got lucky - and need to get lucky - here's why . . .

This morning I once again bumped into ipcamtalk by coming across this thread - Reolink RLC-810A Cameras - Lots of Problems with Blue Iris. From that thread i realized the mistake I had made in buying two Reolink RLC-810A and so I set out to correct my mistake. I have been setting up my small...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I think the main value proposition is POE powered and ONVIF/RTSP compatible, so wifi and cloud subscriptions are a moot point.

Why do I see all kinds of problems with that? Reolink and cloud subscription are giant red flags!

Reolink RLC-810A main stream connection terrible

Has anyone been able to get these cameras to connect properly to Blue Iris? I finally got my 810a camera to connect. But the main stream is so blurred by movement or it freezes on one half that it's useless. The sub stream works as it should. After hours of trying different settings, I will...

The Hookup Ranks Budget Cameras under $50

They suffer from the same problems. You just cannot get enough light to them. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/reolink-low-light-review-from-reolink-4k-poe-bullet-ip-camera-comparison-rlc-810a-vs-rlc-811a-securitybros.65580/

    Totally confused about FPS/key

OK Reolinks are problematic with BI, so you are probably screwed there as they do not hold iframes. They call it Interframe Space and you should make that match FPS, but you will see that it won't hold to it. For the SV3C, it would be the frame interval that is the iframes, so match that to...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Thanks for the speedy response. Just tried that and still not working. You’re right it was showing as encrypted in the app but unfortunately no difference on the NVR. Still showing as failed connection. I’ve read a few other forums that seems to suggest that Reolink is notoriously bad at ONVIF...

    New user, hello

:welcome: I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you will find more problems with the Reolink cameras as time passes. While they may get rave reviews on Amazon those are most likely paid reviews or reviews posted by Reolink themselves. See these threads - Compiled by mat200 -...

    New user, hello

Welcome! I can tell you haven't been on this site very long LOL. How old are the Reolinks? Can you return them? Blue Iris and Reolinks do not work well together, but the same principles applies for almost any low end consumer grade camera. It is just Reolinks is one of the more consumer end...
