Wi-tek WI-LTE117-O router port forward issue

Best not to post after you've smoked a few. That's just garbage, IMO, and adds to the recent factual errors you've posted that I should probably have reacted to and corrected.

    NVR seeing cameras but disconnecting

Does the (unspecified) NVR support an (unspecified) 8MP camera? What do you mean by 'from the internet' ? Are you accessing the NVR remotely via port forwarding or VPN etc?

    firmware update fail

Perhaps the problem is with the choice of (the unspecified) browser. What browser are you using? I would have expected that version of firmware to support Edge, however the product page suggests : Plug-in required live view: IE 10+ Plug-in free live view: Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+ Local...

Add a siren into NVR DS-7616 NVR

Yes, but it's not designed for power switching, like the raw power feed to a siren. It should be used to feed a relay driver which then controls the siren. You've probably overloaded and shorted the NVR output by applying 24v via a siren to it. Suggestion - check out the Alarm output to G with...

Will Dahua/Hikvision etc. make a 180 degree camera with IR?

We don't want sales pitches in the normal forum - there is a vendors area here : https://www.ipcamtalk.com/forums/#vendors.58 Make a request to the site admin for an entry there if you really think you can offer members something useful.

    DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P - Firmware update

There is only one folder that references K2 in the link you supplied. And your firmware is already even newer than that on the various download sites, or on the Hikvision product page, such as here ...

    Footage recovery from dvr hdd

Sorry, I'd assumed you were using Linux. I was wrong. binwalk is a standard Linux utility that will examine the contents of a file and attempt to identify what is held inside it. Although some indications can be false matches, it generally gives some pretty good clues that provide a basis for...

    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

I know you've fixed the problem by re-seating the ribbon cable to the sensor module - but maybe worth commenting for future use : If you can't stop the bootloader, and what you type does not show correctly, it suggests the serial TTL connection to the camera is not wired correctly. Is it wired...

Custom Firmware Downgrader 5.3.0 Chinese to 5.2.5 English

As also responded to in your other identical post : That firmware blocks any attempt to downgrade the version from that currently installed. Even if a downgrade was possible, it would not change the fact that the camera is stamped internally as a Chinese device.

    HikConnect Issue or HDD Issue

And the phone is connected by what method to the NVR? On the same LAN, via Wifi? From an external location over the internet, using a GSM connection? From an external location on another LAN? How does playback perform when using a browser on a PC on the same LAN to the web GUI of the NVR?

    Hikvision Harddisk

This set of specs suggests that up to 10TB disks are supported - I'm assuming it refers to the 16 SATA interfaces. https://www.hikvision.com/en/products/IP-Products/Network-Video-Recorders/Ultra-Series/DS-9664NI-I16/ Though at the bottom it does say : DS-9664NI-I16(16*8T Seagate)

I suspect that the (unspecified) video player does not support the mp4 video format. What video players have you tried?

How is ODM able to bypass my pass; and how to disable it?

No need for that - model numbers are not sensitive. Generic chinese camera brands are riddled with very poor security implementations. And even the big brands have had many embarrassing security failures.
  23. alastairstevenson

    Security camera installer reuses passwords

Yes, because you should be changing and recording and protecting the passwords to your organisation's own standards after the system has been installed and tested and accepted from the installer.
  24. alastairstevenson

How is ODM able to bypass my pass; and how to disable it?

Yes, that's correct,. but the security flaw is in the firmware implementation or configuration settings of the camera, not because ODM can do something to bypass security. What are the brands / models of the (unspecified) camera?

    DS-9664NI-I16 password reset

I'm curious if the NVR came with any disks. I bought a DS-9632NI-I8 from the US a few years back - and unexpectedly it still had some disks installed. The web GUI Storage menu showed that the storage had been erased. Presumably via the NVR web GUI. But out of curiosity I ran a forensic tool...

    DS-9664NI-I16 password reset

Yes, I was wrong. I mixed up the I-16 which is for the number of drive bays with the I/16P which is for the number of PoE ports.
  29. alastairstevenson

    DS-9664NI-I16 password reset

As I think your NVR has PoE ports - here is a possible method of extracting the admin password configured for the cameras, which is often the same as the NVR admin password : https://www.ipcamtalk.com/threads/hikvision-nvr-password-reset.61057/#post-630554

    DS-9664NI-I16 password reset

That's because the Hikvision tftp updater has a 32MB filesize limit and the firmware is larger than that. You should instead be able to use the Scott Lamb Python2 clone of the tftp updater, no filesize limit. https://github.com/scottlamb/hikvision-tftpd That is the serial console UART access...
