Blue Iris won't recognize Logitech Alert cams

After setting up BI on a separate system my 2 Logitech Alert cameras no longer display. I can ping the IPs and I see the 2 cameras in Logitech's Commander on the same system. I input the exact settings and on one camera I reset (that is I unplugged for 10 sec) and no go. Both cameras are...

    Lost all 7 cameras overnight

Well, Sunday afternoon I dug into my network again hoping to track something down concerning my missing 7 cameras. 1st .... I began by ID'ing each Cat5 cable with a Sharpie, pulled those cables no longer in use and renamed correctly those who had been repurposed. I then swapped out the...

    Lost all 7 cameras overnight

Ok .... I moved the BI machine off the router to the 1st Switch .... no communication. I then ran Advanced IP Scanner and the only IP that showed active is the one I'm on. So, ordered a new Switch and we'll see.

    Lost all 7 cameras overnight

Will get back to this perhaps this afternoon after my wife's BD party .... She uses technology but dislikes it .... (oxymoron) so ... to push the envelope I'm getting her an Echo Dot.

And thanks for the compliment! I was hoping there would be no glaring errors in my setup ... at least not obvious. :D

    Lost all 7 cameras overnight

Ok .... here is a drawing .... I tried to shrink it ... The 1st Switch does seem to be the most probable?

    Lost all 7 cameras overnight

Ok on the drawing it will take a little time, and I'll have to head over to Gliffy and see if I can put one together .. I use static on 3 Dahuas and 1 Reolink as they seem to lose IP addresses now and then. All of the GS108 lights work.

    Lost all 7 cameras overnight

Last night at 8:30 pm all networked 7 cameras on Blue Iris were online and displaying fine. This morning at 6am when I looked all cameras had black displays giving errors saying check ip/password etc. 1st I rebooted the Motorola Surfboard 6580 Router ... no help. Rebooted BI no help...

Lost IP addresses after power failure

Thanks Tony .... that makes sense. We have been installing large screen TVs along with a new sound system and I'm pretty sure at least some of the TVs have Roku, if not all. I appreciate your response and don't feel like I broke something now! :)

Lost IP addresses after power failure

I might add that I don't see a "Boundary" address on my own system at home after I made static changes starting at 192.168.0.200

Lost IP addresses after power failure

All 4 cams show fine. I was trying to assign a static address of 200 to one of the cams and it had gone off line which I did not know. It's IP had dropped down 2 digits, I reassigned it to what it said and then couldn't change it to a static 200 and then just went up to IP 204 and it was ok...

Lost IP addresses after power failure

I made static assignments to 4 cameras but when I run the IP Scanner I see an IP Address (200) labeled as "Boundry" ..... did I accidently do this and if so should I remove it? (And how?)

Lost IP addresses after power failure

One other question about Logitech Alert Cameras .... can the IP of those be changed or not? I don't remember seeing anything in the Logitech Commander software about changing the IP . And I still have 5 of those at our church and 2 at my home.

Lost IP addresses after power failure

Thanks Tony ... I was able to change the address of a Dahua from 192.168.0.22 to 192.168.0.200 and then change BI to match and view it! One small step for this 81 year old tech ... well sorta tech. So I'm thinking now that I have a static address for this camera that should remain if I have a...

Lost IP addresses after power failure

I didn't see any references to Reolink in the Cliff Notes?? Even did a Ctrl/f ..... am I missing something? In any case this is after the fact now and I have to deal what's been purchased until they die ... like Logitechs.

Lost IP addresses after power failure

Thanks to you both and your answers makes sense. Now if I can manage to make sense of Reolink's software to change the camera's IP first. I am testing it at my home on my own system and it comes up with 2 cameras and I only have one Reolink. The second camera is one I installed at a church 5...

Lost IP addresses after power failure

I have a mixture of 10 cameras on a Blue Iris system, a i5-2500K - 8 GB mem and we had a city-wide power outage for 5 minutes. When the system came back up 4 of the cameras had lost their IP addresses and a couple of others came up but had the wrong cam ID .... they had switched. For instance...

Mix wifi and hard wired cameras on same monitor?

Using Blue Iris .... Ok ... what camera would you recommend? It's to monitor the sound system to see what little fingers are playing with the settings.

Mix wifi and hard wired cameras on same monitor?

It's an early i5 2500K with 16 GB of ram running 2 monitors showing 9 cameras ... (I got the number of cameras wrong above). I have a Switch in the basement and the desired wifi Reolink camera will be directly 2 stories above in the choir loft. The problem is that the loft is designed with...

Mix wifi and hard wired cameras on same monitor?

I have a 6 camera hard-wired system and need to add another but it's almost impossible to thread a Cat5 to the mounting location. Can I add a wifi camera to the current system?

2nd Blue Iris display in different part of building?

Wow ..... thank you so much .... and I did have "Listen/bind to one selected LAN IP only". That solves about 3 days of frustration. If you were here I would probably give you a hug .... in lieu of that tho I could make a small Paypal donation to you, or the site, or ?

2nd Blue Iris display in different part of building?

Ooooo maybe if on the Lan I just typed in the PC's IP with the port that might work? I will try that. Thanks ... I'll report back.

2nd Blue Iris display in different part of building?

Yep .... that is exactly what I put in that works off-site but does not work on the network where BI is, the server, at the site. I even got a hold of No-Ip Support and he said it works fine at his location and gave me the suggestion to remove one of the port-forward entries which I did ... but...

2nd Blue Iris display in different part of building?

I have Blue Iris running nicely with 9 security cameras. The web interface works nicely off site and I thought I could use the same web interface on a different pc to bring up the same display in a different part of the building. It times out and never connects. It works great on my Android...

Second monitor remote from server on same network?

I think that is what I may end up doing .... the interface is not that bad either. Which leads me to the second part of this problem since I cannot make the direct connection.... the web cannot see my BI at church, although I see it perfectly at home using BI with 6 cameras using DYNDNS. The...

Second monitor remote from server on same network?

Hmmm ..... The office computer is an i5 2500K running 2 monitors. The second attached monitor in this office displays our 9 cameras. There are some physical barriers to reaching the sound system loft which is over 100' away, so I have used a set of TP-Link AV 2000 modules (data over house...

Second monitor remote from server on same network?

I have Blue Iris running 9 cameras visible from the church office. I would like to have a second monitor on a second system in the Sound System Sanctuary loft that would project the same 9 cameras on it's own screen. So now I have 2 locations to monitor traffic and outside activity...
