    Support ended now evaluation version

Here is the email: The license is not a subscription, but the support and maintenance is now time-based, you may purchase that by the year, and it need not be continuous. If you do not plan on renewing support and maintenance, you are licensed to all versions released prior to 4/6/2020, but we...

    Support ended now evaluation version

Yes you need an active support/maintenance from now to update. I don't mind, just that it was no info about it before it was changed/set in effect. Would be better to disable update if the result is stuck in evolution mode

Inside camera with 5ghz wifi and true BI/onvif

Wifi bridge for the 2,4ghz is impossible. 2,4 is so noisy in my house nothing on 2,4, even next to a AP point is unsueable (cause of 42 ap points on the solar panels spamming chatter making all 2,4 units disconnect all the time. Court case pending, but will take a long time). Thats why im...

Inside camera with 5ghz wifi and true BI/onvif

Any suggestions for inside wifi camera with native support in Blue Iris - the requirements are 1080p, 5ghz compatible (can not use 2,4ghz in this house cause of interference) - plus if it does have a POE ethernet if I want to repurpose it close to any of the switches.

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

Well ring does have a POE version, but the only reason why I dont directly suggest Ring is its no 3rd party integration of live video (though its not impossible it exist a live video url somewhere - tell me if someone know). I had ring for about one year and for me I think the longest response...

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

The only two issues I had with it was the size (its HUGE) and the quality. If doorbird released a version with 1080, ring/nest size and the other versions I would buy it. For me its no lag between the button press and ding. At least with alexa that does the doorbell announcement, plus a chime as...

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

Lets hope they wont shut down everything. Dlink did that, they removed the streams too on the camera they got agreement with google with (8300H). I will be looking for a POE, but ring at least got an API and running it though Home Assistant - this far no issues with the wifi. Having a 10gbit...

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

Do you have it integrated in BI and how will you handle the API shutdown? I never had any large issues with Ring and wifi, but I have a strong infrastructure. Right now I got refunded the Doorbird and got a Ring Pro for free, so will go back to a POE doorbell when I find one that integrates...

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

Here is the config - add the latest firmware to the root folder (the one published on this forum). After running the commands.bat to create the new, start the tftp server and if you see the camera pull the first file, just let it run, on next boot it will do the next one run dr run dk run du...

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

I got it working; It was very important to add the signed file to the config file. Seem like the tftp is picking up one file at each reboot, but after 10 reboots it seems to have be rescued.

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

Ok I managed to extract the install file. How do I use this? { "Commands" : [ "burn dhboot-min.bin.img bootloader", "burn dhboot.bin.img bootloader", "burn kernel.img kernel", "burn partition-x.cramfs.img partition", "burn romfs-x.squashfs.img rootfs"...

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

If I open the file and change from DH to PK the archive fails with "Can not open file as archive" - what software / method do you use to change them?

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

Hmm. Attached is a screenshot of the content of the latest image file. the install file fails to extract correctly when using 7zip, dunno if its relevant. How should the config look for this setup?

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

Im a bit confused how to setup the configuration file. Do you have an example on how the file actually should look for that camera?

Suggestion indoor PTZ with high resolution, good IR and good zoom

Im running a Dahua A46 to monitor the turtoise breeding, but since the A46 is now "cloud only" I need a replacement. Can I get a suggestion of a high res camera (that is not too large, around the A46-size) with PTZ, but with zoom so I can zoom in on the animals, also non dependant on the cloud.

    TFTP Rescue with signed firmware

Is it not possible to do a TFTP rescue with a camera that is flashed with the >2019 firmwares? I see its a signed file, and the camera try to load the TFTP file, but fails right away

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

The question is @fenderman - is a doorbell a critical surveilance system when you have 6 POE cameras covering the whole yard? I totally agree POE and wired all the way, and I try to keep video off WIFI cause of the load it brings into the wifi environment. In general I agree with Fenderman, keep...

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

Is still viable - trying to recover a HDW5231R-Z that got stuck in a boot loop when upgrading to the latest version. It doesnt seem like the camera wants to upgrade itself via tftp, even if it connects. Any suggestions: starting TFTP... alias / is mapped to root\ permitted clients: all server...

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

Is it worth the price?. I see it from 600-1200usd on ebay. quite steep, but if its better than doorbird im not against it. Alternative was to put in a camera through the wall (drill in mini camera) and just use a regular button. I ordered some POE mini cameras I was thinking to use for another...

    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

Oh yeah thats too bulky. What about the "new" dahua any reports of the stability of that doorbell and does anyone sell those cameras without branding (im not too happy with a huge dahua / hkvision brand on my doorbell)

TP Link NC450 v2 PTZ and general PTZ issues

Anyone? I see that TP-Link do got an onvif port on 2020, and other software like synology can control it. With BI its a 10 second delay and after first move onvif locks up. Anyway to debug why BI does not want to control this camera (it worked "fine" before the 1.5 update)

Is it any other options out there that is not cloud required (nest api shutdown scares me) with onvif or any other local streaming and POE?
