Group Camera Cycling on iOS BI App

I'm not having any luck doing this. See the pic. On both my iPad and iPhone I can press and hold on either of the 2 groups below the all cameras group but it just goes to the group, it does not cycle. Does it look the same on yours? Maybe I'm missing a setting that needs to be messed with in BI??

Group Camera Cycling on iOS BI App

I've created a few different camera groups in BI but I can only cycle the All Cameras group on the BI App. Is this possible? Thanks!

    Network Cupboard depth?

I think 8U is gonna be a bit tight for all the above and there is no way you'll get a UPS in that box with the equipment and you always want to leave some space for venitaltion and expansion. As for depth, it depends but I'd say 450mm is plenty. I don't have an NVR so not sure how deep those are...

What Exposure/Backlight setting to combat shadow?

OK it works great but everything kinda gets washed out. Can I bring the exposure down to clean it up or is that the trade off with WDR?

What Exposure/Backlight setting to combat shadow?

It does! Thanks I'll see how that works today. Should I set all my cam to that or just ones that deal with high contrast situation like the front door shadow?

What Exposure/Backlight setting to combat shadow?

I am getting a shadow at my front door for a few hours that really blocks seeing faces. Is there a setting to use for that?

    Exterior install complete... for now

Are you saying keep it corridor mode and zoom in this way? I was up early and tried the IR on the driveway, it did clean it up but I got some bounce back from the eaves. I'll try rotating the camera this weekend so the lights are on the bottom. What does BLC do on the back light? I turned...

    Exterior install complete... for now

Here is the the front with no IR because of the street lights and the side with IR. See previous post about changing to corridor mode.

    Exterior install complete... for now

I know corridor mode has its place but for some reason looking at it is like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. I work in TV so having 1 camera in portrait while the rest is 16:9 is like having to deal with iphone footage for broadcast. I do plan on doing an interior cam this way so I should...

    Exterior install complete... for now

Thanks! On the front 2 the IR is off. There is ample street lighting. The side one I do get a fair amount of shine on the wall but it still works. I'll snap some pic's tonight and post it.

    Exterior install complete... for now

Thanks! With the side cam I wanted to make sure I also covered the upper right portion of the fence. That is the easiest place to hop over it. The gate is locked so they'll have to jump over somewhere if they want in.

    Exterior install complete... for now

I may add a 4th camera on the north side of the house but I am going to focus on the indoor cams for now.

Clip and Archiving... what am I missing?

4TB so I could maybe go to 3.25 or 3.5..

Clip and Archiving... what am I missing?

Yes I have a dedicated purple drive for the footage. So uncheck the limit age and bump up the size like this?

Clip and Archiving... what am I missing?

    I'll try that. Thanks!

Clip and Archiving... what am I missing?

I originally had the clips and archiving set to 14 days before moving it to the stored folder. I noticed the other day it wasn't keeping more than 3 days at a time. I bumped it up to 21 days a few days ago and no change. What am I doing wrong?

    Buying From AliExpress

I used Jimbu for my first 2 cams and mounts. They did pull the "9999 in stock items" on the webpage but I was quickly notified by them after ordering that they were out of stock and asked if I wanted to cancel the order. He stated he would be getting some soon. I said no and he got a shipment in...

    Conduit install question

Perfect! I was looking at those at HD yesterday but unsure if I needed to thread it to something from the hole in the wall. With 1/2" EMT should the single hole straps be sufficient or do I need double? I'm also gonna need to use a 90 degree elbow. Do I need a waterproof one? I using the Dahua...

    Conduit install question

What should I be using to connect the conduit to where the ethernet exits the house? The previous owner had some conduit exiting the garage for a security light and it looks like they just jammed a inside corner pull elbow into the opening but I'm not sure if that is right Do I need to put a...

BI App and VPN connection issue

So I am running into a weird issue. I am running OpenVPN on an ERL. I can connect to the VPN from my iPhone fine, the problem is the BI app says "Unable to make connection; check server address". Here's the weird part, I can connect to the BI CPU using the Microsoft RD app when on the VPN as...

Painted front door cam and New server build (WIP)

Painted a Dahua 5231 for our front door. I was a little weary of just taping off the glass for the camera and IR so I left the front white. Installed an outlet in the office closet and built a small rack for the ERL, switch, CPU and cable modem. Now i just need to add a UPS and the other cams...

camera for a lighted front door

Are you keeping your light on all night? I also have a 5231 at my front door with an LED light. My light turns off though at 10:30. I actually turn off the night IR because there is pretty good street lighting and I was getting a lot of reflections from car plates.

    Edgerouter Lite Questions

Thanks Nayr! I thought going the 2LAN route would make the VLAN unnecessary. I do have a VLAN capable switch (Ubitquiti) and good to know about blocking between subnets. I wasn't sure if I needed to do that or not.

    Edgerouter Lite Questions

OK so I have my ERL set up with WAN+2LAN. I have my home and guest network on LAN 1 and the BI CPU and cameras on LAN2. VPN installed and connectable. Everything works great and BI sees the cams. I was following a tutorial for putting the cameras on their own VLAN on the ERL and switch and...
