Dahua NVR won’t connect Amcrest IP4M-1051w

Dahua has a special “private” protocol for connecting its own cameras to the NVR which presumably passes more detailed information from the camera since they are made by the same company. If I can’t get the NVR to connect the the camera natively then I’ll try RSTP or ONVIF.

Dahua NVR won’t connect Amcrest IP4M-1051w

My Dahua NVR5208-8p-4k2se natively connected my older IP2m Amcrest with the “private” protocol but the NVR doesn’t see new IP4M I just bought. Any ideas how to connect it?

Dahua IVS API or other external way to enable/disable IVS rules

Thanks Andy, V2.76 of the API is already available on this site. Thanks for trying to get us the latest version. Could you also please confirm the API call to do the following as I don't see it in the v2.76 documentation so it might be missing from the latest one also. I want to enable and...

Dahua IVS API or other external way to enable/disable IVS rules

Looking for the same exact thing! I see how to do it for Motion detect in the API but nothing on IVS. Does it have something to do with the "event handler" configuration?

How To Upgrade Amcrest / Lorex to Dahua Firmware And Get All Dahua Features

Just bought an Amcrest IP4M-1051W and attempted to add it to my Dahua NVR5208-8P-4KS2E NVR. It wont add with the "private" protocol like my older Amcrest IP2M-841W did. Has anyone been able to add this camera? It doesn't look like the camera has an Dahua equivalent firmware.

    Review-OEM Loryta IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal 4mp camera (Dahua)

Thanks @Wildcat_1 and @samplenhold and all, Looks like I would need more zoom for the plates but I also wanted my 5442 for general surveillance so I'll just have to be happy with what I got. Thanks for the feedback and photos.

    Review-OEM Loryta IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal 4mp camera (Dahua)

I've had my ipc-t5442t-ze-varifocal for some time now and recently moved to a pole about 8ft high near the street in hopes of having a record of vehicles and their plate numbers if needed. from this thread it seems others are doing this successfully. I don't need ANPR capabilities just a clean...

Dahua NVR can't add wireless cameras

OK, I got the axis cameras working by changing the manufacturer to Axis rather than Onvif but I still have 1 samsung SNH-P6410BN Smartcam HD Pro ONVIF camera that I can access via VLC using the open network stream "rtsp:/192.168.1.226/onvif/profile5/media.smp " but won't open on the NVR. the NVR...

Dahua NVR can't add wireless cameras

Router is 192.168.1.1 NVR WAN port is 192.168.1.108 Camera I'm trying to add are 192.158.1.101 (onvif) and 192.168.1.150 (amcrest Ip2m-841W). The user name and passwords are the same as the NVR, I'm able to log into these camera's directly so I know the password is correct. New news: I got into...

Dahua NVR can't add wireless cameras

I have1 Dahua and 1 Amcrest camera on the POE ports. Unlike bigredfish's example my wireless cameras are Amcrest and Onvif if that makes a difference. I'm using the web interface of the Dahua NVR.

Dahua NVR can't add wireless cameras

I can add them but they show up "red". Yes they show up on 192.168.1 subnet. The amcrest shows up as manufacturer private and the others show up as Onvif. I'll send a screen shot when I can. It seems to take several hours before they show up in the device search part of the window after I've...

Dahua NVR can't add wireless cameras

I'm having trouble adding wireless cameras to my NVR5208 NVR. I already have several POE cameras up and working on 10.1.1 subnet but I want to add several wireless cameras on the 192.168.1 subnet. Yes I've read the Cliff notes and the "NVR & POE Switch thread" and the "***PSA for those with a...

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

Given the issues looney2ns saw with the NVR4216 and now supported by Arnonz, I went with the NVR5208-8p-4ks2e. Much cheaper and hopefully more reliable. Yes, I don't get FR but I also don't have to spend days trying to get it to work. If Dahua ever comes out with a reliable NVR that does the...

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

I'm planning on ordering the IPC-HDW5442T-ZE camera from Andy to upgrade my system, but on the fence about the NVR. Andy suggested the NVR-5208-8p-4KS2e but I'd really like to try out the Face recognition and ANPR features of an AI NVR like the NVR4208-8P-I. I'm not ready for BlueIris and I...
