    All sorted, I made an error when modifying the IP address, I typed 192.169 instead of 192.168. All back up and running now,thank you very much for your assistance. Camera has been faultless for about 2 years so have no idea how it reverted back to factory settings.

    Ok thanks, I'll give that a go, will have to wait for wife to get home as poe hub is in loft and camera is in one of the bedrooms, it's a hikvision dome camera, will check where the reset button is on it.

    Yeah I tried swapping ports to the one the working camera is plugged in to, the red led is on camera. How is the hard reset performed? I've tried the reboot device option in blue iris iOS app.

    It's powered via poe, the poe switch is fine as the working camera is also plugged in to the poe hub.

    I've checked wired devices in my router software and it's not showing up there so think the camera must have given up the ghost. Swapped Ethernet lead to know good one and still not registering so actual camera is obviously suspect.

    I've tried sadp but when I run it it says initiation failed then does show the page but shows zero cameras. Typing the IP address direct in the browser does nothing.

    one of my cameras has gone down, it says no signal check IP address or port in the window. Is there any option within blue iris to see what cameras are connected to my network to see if the camera is showing up albeit with a different IP address, although it's been fine for the last two years.

    Installed version 4 no problem, and on first run it had already imported everything over, so cameras showed up straight away and also all my historic video clips so I've had to do nothing. Is there anywhere that explains the features version 4 has over version 3 ?

    I'm on 3.66, didn't swap to ver 4 due to cost. I've sorted it now, we had a power cut and must have been an ip conflict and I've changed lan ip number and its operating fine now. Thanks.

    Ok, have cleared my browser history but I'm only getting the Chinese language, no other option in drop down box. had a look at the mtd post but what tools do I need to perform this hack. Looks a bit complicated so bit more reading and understanding needed.

    Tried a different way, took a laptop up into the loft where my Poe switch is and plugged laptop direct into switch and ran the tftp server again, success this time. need to watch the how to on changing language back to English now but at least the camera is back up online. thanks all concerned :-)

    in sadp the camera is showing ipgateway 192.168.0.1 and ip address 192.168.0.185, does this matter ?

    no,pc doesn't have wifi, its connected to wireless router via cable. the ip address in tftp server says 192.0.0.128 and I turned firewall off.
