    The fastest playback my Dahua NVR has is relatively slow when I have to scroll through long periods of time. Is there a faster way, or is the best way going to be export the vid and use high speed fast forward in VLC Player?

    when i use the ONVIF manager with my local cam i get the results as seen on the screenshot. i have tried 3 ports. to access the cam locally i use 192.168.1.122:6020. i entered that address and i entered it again with the forward slash that onvif manager automatically puts in the address bar

    @alastairstevenson i do not quite understand. i do not fully understand the "ONVIF device manager"...would that be on the NVR? if so, where would i access that?

    I have an ACTi that my Dahua NVR will not recognize. screenshots below. on the cam i have ports: 6020, 6021, 6022, 7070 forwarded. i can view the cam remotely and locally without problems. any suggestions are appreciated.

    Just out of curiosity, why is there not an open source and free Windows version of OpenALPR or any license plate reading software? Im guessing due to huge amount of work involved? Any particular reason OpenALPR is designed for Linux?

    Tech needs to produce what I mentioned with great pic/vid details. Basically take all good features from a solid existing cam and make them operable and good in a fisheye version.....For areasonable price. It is probably a pipe dream.

    Thanks. The new 2mp turrent from Dahua you reviewed only has 2 options onboard approx if I am correct. I wasn't sure if analytics options lived on the NVR or not.....Or if analytics require extra software.

    that IP is on my subnet. now i cannot see the cam with a network scan. i have never had an issue like this. even if i changed the http port, i still should see the cam locally. i am throughly confused.
